LOS ANGELES - The Mariachi Divas, an all-female pan-Hispanic music ensemble, had them dancing in the aisles before Hillary Rodham Clinton's rally at Cal State Los Angeles this morning. But the group was unceremoniously shown the door when the political program began.
"Thank you! You were awesome!" said a young Clinton volunteer, escorting the group, decked out in rhinestone-studded costumes and toting guitars and fiddles, out a set of double doors.
"But we want to see her," a member protested.
"There's no room. You can listen outside. Thank you!" said the Clintonista, pointing to a crowd listening on loudspeakers outside in the chilly quad.
Another member turned to a reporter and said incredulously, "They're kicking us out!"
For the record, there was plenty of room in the gym -- a dozen feet of open floor ringing the crowd on main floor. A Clinton staffer said there were concerns that the room, already packed with several thousand enthusiastic supporters, many of them Latinas, was already at capacity.

Ray:
Extremely moving.
There is no doubt in my mind that in the last debate Hillary turned on her fake charm to make it look like she would accept Barack as her running mate.
Barack should let it be known that there is no way he would be her running mate because of the tactics her campaign has used on him. McCain would probably be in there only one term and how many countries could we really invade in those four years.
Better yet-Obama&Biden in 08!

You'll have to apologise Ray. This moving style-over-content nonsense doesn't sort out the issue of wealth distribution and poverty in the US which is the root to all modern prejudicial thinking. The next president of the US be he/she Democrat or Republican WILL have to face up to a reality and that is immigration and its impact on the economy.

Great post. I'll have to spread it to my Hispanic friends who support Hillary.
The door - that's exactly what the Hispanic community will be shown after the Clinton's win their support. The question is, who will the Hispanic "Sister Souljah" be?

The fire marshal ordered the area cleared.
The Clinton people had nothing to do with it.
Do you have the honesty to correct this, or do we have to send this to the newspapers?

Hang on, Gandalf. The 'reality' of immigration?! Please recall that you are an immigrant too - from Valinor I believe and were greeted at the Grey Havens by Cirdan the Shipwright not so long ago. Another sad case of 'last one off the boat' syndrome! And thanks ray i've seen that already - but it has no relevance to this article which is highlighting yet more antisocial behaviour that society HAS to stamp out. Where has the love gone?!

First I am going to vote republican so take this as you will. "The fire marshal ordered the area cleared.
The Clinton people had nothing to do with it."
That is not the point. I am sure there were clintonistas who could have given up their seats or maybe a bit of planning for the special guests(the musicians). Did the clintonistas not realize that those musicians might want to relax and listen to clinton after they worked so hard. And I don't know how popular a group they are but you should always be iviting to the celebs or semi celebs because of their following.

I wondered where the little minds and smaller hearts were spending their time. I will keep it short I would not want to take up too much of your time as it is close to that day. Hello people choose your battles wisely what's the item of importance here ? Have any of you ever heard of a building that was crowded beyond safe occupancy catching fire ? I am real sorry some had their feelings hurt by possibly a rude non - thinking individual. How wrong they were to be so graceless. Be bigger than them and Forgive !
Do you honestly blame Mrs. Clinton for their actions ?
Now go with your heart tomorrow , we need to put this all back together and we need to do it in the spirit of unity. Love is the only thing strong enough to bind us together lets all grow up and stop sweating the small stuff, were bigger than that.
