Why are there bios of Candidates other than Obama?

How can he receive blind endorsements when his message is CHANGE?

I have no idea what that actually means, or who he is.

The Swamp, hasn't stepped up to the plate on this.

Is there something to hide, or he just wont give up information (as the others have)?
Did they gave up the information or was it just the Swamp digging deep on everyone except Obama?

I hate to be the one to break it to you, the news media is under no obligation to spoon-feed you that which you think you need to make informed choices. As someone with over half a century of experience under my belt (and in my hips and knees) I cannot remember a time when the outside world was responsible for telling me what I needed to know.

Perhaps you would be better off listening to Right-leaning radio. Their audience is much like you in that they rely on their talking heads to tell them what to think, what's important, and how to conduct your life. The womb-like echo chamber of conservative radio is where you need to be.

Although, be sure to tune into the Tribune Editorial pages this fall for their inevitable endorsement of John McCain for president of the United States...

I burst out laughing at the first blog! (sorry). Is this to imply that the wave of millions who rally behind his message have been spoofed by a mirage? Remember, HIllary, in her last seven years as a senator, has not authored or sponsored ANY bills/laws that address the issues she so emotionally stumps now!!! If she felt so strongly about them (e.g., jobs, changes to NAFTA), etc., why didn't she do something about it during all that experience she was racking up for her presidential run??? Did any of you really read what I had questioned?
I had mentioned this way back, WHY, because I looked at the Candidates on the Swamp forum, when there were a lot more candidates campaigning and wondered why they gave BIO's of everyone EXCEPT Obama. That's it.

As for the youtube stuff, I don't go there. Why, when I can receive all the well informed information right here.

And yes, Obama has said a lot, not on how to fix things but to CHANGE things. You tell me how HE is going to FIX things when it takes Congress and the Presidency to work together. Then it has to be Constitutional.

What the heck has GWB paid for? How is McSleepy going to pay for the wars he has promised?

We need to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire for one thing. Flash; most people were against them in the first place. They wanted to pay down the debt. It was a historic opportunity, blown by GWB.

Medical care can be paid for to a large extent by premium offsets. My wife and I are now paying thousands a year in premiums to line the pockets of insurance companies. Everyone will have to pay a share, of course.

Further, the 3/4 trillion dollar defense/security/intell. budget is obscene.

you know what gets me? TEAMSTERS endorse Obama. I am a TEAMSTER and nobody asked me either way. I wouldn't endorse that fool.

I have been telling people for several years that we need a new leader to emerge who has the gift of oration. I submit that a man or woman with great oration skills, who can inspire millions of people, can change the direction of our country in a positive way. Sure political experience is needed, and he is a senator isn't he? Young? Yes! But he is inspiring people who are disillusioned and tired of the old "business as usual" approach of the likes of President Bush, and the non-inspirational antics of Presidnet Clinton. In fact, Bill is hurting Hillary's campaign in my opinion by his constant comments on talk shows, TV interviews and other media. He is not doing her any favors (again).

When we were attacked, we did the right thing, and we pursued the enemy into Afghanistan and toppled the Taliban. Then we suddenly went to Iraq, and there was no connection to the 911 attacks, but Bush used the wounded public sentiment to run on in there and do his own war for his own reasons. He has never answered our question; Why did you abandon finding Bin Ladin?

I hope Obama will address this issue and resolve the gap in our information and understanding. Personally I feel Bush is just a lot like Nixon was. He is running his own little country, and we are all out of the loop.

Obama has the gift of making people feel hope again. I pray he can follow his words with actions, and make things clear again. Improve our foreign policy and with his gift make other nations see us again as a leader and not an agressor.

Maybe I am saying too much, but this is how I feel. I am angry that our current President took us down this road, and never finished the business of finding the evil man who engineered the death of so many people on 911. Obama has mentioned this fact in some of his campaign speeches.

Finally I just want to say that the specific subatance of Obama's comments don't matter. He has hit a nerve that has not been hit for a long time. We are all tired of dishonest men working in the office of President of the United States. I look at McCain and I just see another Bush. Those guys all seem the same to me.

A picture has been passed around with Sen.Clinton and Gov.Richardson with their hand over their heart while The Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag was being recited.--obama stood there disrespecting the American Flag like the moron muslim he is.

Last year, Obama thought Democrats needed to get closer to God. This year, he thinks Reagan sent the country on an upward path. The change Obama wants is for you all to change into something he can identify with. As far as Obama's concerned, he's perfect just the way he is.

Isn't that the problem of this Zeitgeist? Lack of intellectual curiosity. The TV is the source of knowledge. And many Americans change their minds as many times that they turn on their TV. Obama has touched the minds and hearts of millions of people across America and the globe. And that is a good news for America and the world. PG, why don't you get it? Obama will greatly improve your tarnished image.

Yes, Obama want's change, but he also wants to bring us together, something that Hillary and McCain AREN'T pledging to do. Hillary continues to divide, and McCain can't even get support from his own party. There's a reason why everybody's uniting behind Obama because he is more than an empty suit pledging change and hope. He is the only one who understands what is going on in Washington and knows how to fix it. But whatever PG, if it makes you happier voting for McCain because you don't want a change/hope monger in office, then so be it. Or maybe you should fight to have the constitution changed so that you can re-elect Bush and keep him in office until he becomes Fidel Castro's age, and the whole entire country is a crap hole like Cuba, since Hillary and McCain really offer nothing different from Bush anyways.

Unions don't represent "Working Families" that is there front. They represent union bosses and protect there jobs at all costs ! Union members don't stand a chance ! I resent the fact that they claim to represent "Working Families". All of the rules in place protect union bosses not "working or non working families". Anyone with a modicum of grey matter knows why it's not out there, he would have to mention far away places,with strange sounding names, and siblings from multiple mothers , radical muslim brothers, drug using friends from New York , all could very well queer his play. His idea of hope is keeping this info. under the rug, and change is changing the topic. There will come a day when he will have to explain the redacted parts of his life.

Modern American political campaigns are not about specifics. Any time a candie goes into specifics he is called boring, stiff, waxen, wonkish. (see Edwards, Kerry, Gore.)

These campaigns are about personality, and the most we can hope for is a little general political philosophy to follow.

The details are in their white papers. That's were you had to go to read about Reagan's plans to de-industrialize our economy and move to a service based economy, and his NAFTA proposal.

I read so many entries on peoples concern about just how Obama is going to fix things in DC. Why haven't you stepped forward prior to now and asked the current administration how they will fix things? And why haven't you all been apart of the problem solving? NO ONE has ever stepped up and said they want us to be involved...He is doing that! He is creating an opportunity for ALL of US to become apart of the process again....Everyday more and more of our rights are being stripped away from us by a government that makes decisions for us.
