HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Here's a quote of this campaign day, from the Ohio primary contest in which Barack Obama is campaigning as the agent of change and Hillary Clinton is running as the voice of experience.
Clinton, too, knows how to make change, she maintained here today.
"I have a proven record of making change as a change maker," she told a crowd in the gymnasium of Wayne High School in Huber Heights, Ohio.
The unmistakeable message for voters: Keep the change.

Experience versus Change?
Do you want an experience mechanic who will repair your car? Or do you want a mechanic who has a good idea on how to change your car?
Do you want an experience pilot to fly the plane you are in? Or do you want a pilot who has a good idea on how to operate a plane?
Change is good. But change without experience is like riding a simulator versus reality. It's a quite bit of different when things crash.

Changemaker? Changemaker? Reminds me of the old SNL skit about the bank (or store) that does nothing but make change. Impassioned looks into the camera testifying to what excellent changemakers they were. Whew!

Jeff,
I thought you said McCain was pro environment. That's not what the Sierra Club is telling me. Pro war, pro special interest, anti-environment. No thanks.
Two weeks ago John McCain was the only Senator to duck a crucial vote on the future of clean energy in America -- dooming to failure the measure that would have helped make renewable energy more affordable and accessible. Now it turns out this missed vote is part of a pattern.
Last week, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) released the 2007 National Environmental Scorecard giving Senator McCain a score of ZERO. According to the scorecard, McCain was the only member of Congress to skip all 15 crucial environmental votes scored by LCV.

Yes Hillary, the Clintons changed the tone of White House with sex scandals, financial corruption and you even stooped to removing and trashing items from the White House when Bill's term ended. There's an ethics complaint currently filed against you for filing false financial disclosures with the US senate. You're unable to manage your own campaign! Your kind of change is the wrong kind of change.

Poor, Hillary. She's struggling to find her voice again.
Perhaps she should try "I'm the decider." It worked before for GW.
Really, she should just go ballistic and tell women, "Men are garbage. My husband cheated when he was in the White House. GW cheated to get INTO the White House. And now John McCain has cheated ON HIS WAY to the White House. And you know Obama will leave Michelle after the White House. What we need is someone who won't cheat, before, during or after the White House. What we need is a woman."

I don't think she will never be a "corporate" patronizer. She is too smart to have to win issues that way.

Change is all you have you pocket after either of these socialists are elected.

Terry,
I don't care what you label them. If the last seven years is your idea of progress, we don't want any. All you promise is debt and war and a wealthy elite. Take your greed and shove it.

Why is it 'socialism' to get the country back the way it was when EISENHOWER was prez--when the majority of our national budget was paid for by the corporations? We have NOTHING in this country for common people. In Denmark---you get PAID to go to college, your health care is PAID for from cradle to grave. Here, they manufacture fake threat after fake threat so that defense contractors can steal all our money.

Idiot.

If Trickle Down Terry wants to think of the Clinton Presidency as Socialism versus what the Wing Nuts have given us,count me in for Socialism!!!!!!!
Apparently the people agree,Clinton left office with a 67 % approval rating, and Boy George, well it's below Nixon,so what does that tell you!!!!!!

dt,
The wars are cleaning up the mess left by Bill the Foriegn Policy Punter and the debt is the result thereof.
Crazy Duck - there's an opening 100 miles south of Florida - grab a raft and go, the beaches are to die for. Say high to Danny Glover.

A good leader knows when change is necessary to win the day. Three cheers for Hillary, who knows when to harness the winds of change.

Terry,
Don't be so hard/on about B.J. Clinton's defense of America against terrorism!
At the height of [the Monica thing] he did fire off three 30 million dollar missiles against Bin laden and killed one camel, destroyed 2 1/2 tents, one aspirin factory and one truck load of Louie Vitan ankle length designer burkas.
B.J. knew what to do when times were Hard!

Between 'changemaker" and NAFTA changing the US into a 'service' economy, all I can picture is Clinton adding, "You want fries with that?" to her stump speech.

Terry,
Remind me again what Iraq had to do with anything? What did Dubya clean up? The world's a far messier place since the Chimp took over. Guess little Bush is going to "punt" the hundred year war, the three trillion in additional debt, and stagflation to Obama. That's O.K., Dems are used to cleaning up after reckless Republicans. Enjoy the next 10 months, trick-boy, you fools won't see the White House for decades.

dts,
Remember the WMDs - you know the things Bill Clinton bombed Iraq over in Dec, 1998?
It isn't a big stretch after 9-11 to put WMDs into the hands of terrorists that wanted to use them against us - members of both sides of the aisle agreed on that.
President Bush decided to play offense against the terrorists instead of letting the terrorists continue to bring the action to us.
If there is a President Obama, then he can withdraw the troops in 16 months and see what the fate of the world will look like.
It looks like the economy that President Bush leaves his successor will be like the one he inherited - heading into recession. Than a President Obama can see if tax hikes will grow this economy.

9/11 was Bush's idea of offense? And then he attacks the wrong country and let the culprit get away. Iraq... worst foreign policy blunder in American history. Some offense. Ya sure know how to pick 'em, TD.

Hillary Rodham Clinton accepted $854,462 from the healthcare industry in 2005-2006 according to a July 12, 2006 article in The New York Times. Why hasn't the media published this fact in the February 22 reports about Clinton latest claim in the February 21 debate that her healthcare plan is better than Obama's?
If Hillary Clinton is taking that much money from the healthcare industry how can any American voter believe she has the necessary integrity to propose a healthcare plan that will effectively overhaul the country's currently ailing healthcare system?
The media should be reporting on the above fact and moderators of upcoming debates should be asking Clinton about her acceptance of this six-figure contribution from the interests she often states in her campaign speeches to be on the opposite side of.

dts,
I guess you need a reminder of the quotes from leaders of the democratic party - before and after 9-11:
http://www.davidstuff.com/political/wmdquotes.htm
President Bush's idea of offense was Afghanistan (something Clinton didn't do) and Iraq (another thing Clinton didn't do). he just let the "infection" fester for 8 years and 9-11 was the result.
If we had a President Gore for 8 years, God only knows how many terrorist attacks we would have had on US soil in the past 7 years.
As bin Laden saw in 1993, he felt the U.S. was a paper tiger and was ripe for attack.

Terry,
Blah, blah, blah.
The sanctions were working in Iraq, there were no terrorist before the petulant one invited them. The most dangerous WMD--George W. Bush.
Terry and the rest of the Bush apologist won't accept that any of this 7 year nightmare was Bushco's fault. The rest of us know better. BTW, Ter, where is OBL? Who was at the wheel when planes went into buildings? Who attacked the wrong country? But, but, but....it was Clinton's fault. What a loser! And TD, check this out from Parade Magazine. The worlds ten worst dictators. Guess which one Dubya likes to exchange hugs with?:
7) King Abdullah, Saudi Arabia. Age 82. In power since 1995. Last year’s rank: 5
Although Abdullah did not become king until 2005, he has ruled Saudi Arabia since his half-brother, Fahd, suffered a stroke 10 years earlier. In Saudi Arabia, phone calls are recorded and mobile phones with cameras are banned. It is illegal for public employees “to engage in dialogue with local and foreign media.” By law, all Saudi citizens must be Muslims. According to Amnesty International, police in Saudi Arabia routinely use torture to extract “confessions.” Saudi women may not appear in public with a man who isn’t a relative, must cover their bodies and faces in public and may not drive. The strict suppression of women is not voluntary, and Saudi women who would like to live a freer life are not allowed to do so.

Trickle Terry Timbits,
We as a country have historically engaged in wars as a last resort--not preemptive, unnecessary wars like Iraq. If Al Gore was president we may not have even had 9/11. Gore would not have blown off Richard Clarke. And Gore definitely wouldn't have attacked the wrong country. Comparing the worst president in U.S. History to anyone is simply...unfair. With a bar that low, Bo Diddly would have done a better job than Bush. It's pathetic, that anyone would even defend the man who destroyed the reputation of the country around the world, not to mention his own party. I guess Reich radio found at least one mark.

I guess the most enchanged VP in history couldn't get the job done in 8 years and that should be good enough reason to reward him with another 4 or 8 years.
Your logic is amazing - must be from listening to the loony left, child molesting Bernie Ward on there in teh Bay Area.
Posted by: Terry | February 26, 2008 6:51 AM
We'll see if the Swamp Master will post this on the 3rd attempt.
Al Gore was supposedly the most engaged VP in history, so why didn't he do anything about terrorism after the first 9-11 attack (except holding a trial).
Where are getting your information from in the Bay area, the left-wing, child pornography fan - Bernie Ward?
