Here at the Northwest guard gate of the White House, where the agents are equally divided over the outcome of today's Super Bowl -- one calling it for the Giants, another for the Patriots -- another wishful prediction is offered by the uniformed men in black.
Overtime.
Not on guard duty. On the gridiron.
They are looking for a good game tonight, and one is looking for overtime.
Here at the White House, where the Swamp has pool duty today, we are awaiting President Bush's return from a week of post-State of the Union stumping across the country. Marine One will land sometime soon, we're told. And if the weather is any guide -- sunny, hazy, 50s maybe -- we could be in for a presidential mountain-bike ride today.
We're here for the landing, but aren't expecting an invitation for the game.
