Here are a few Washington events of note for Wednesday, February 6.
The Senate and House Armed Services committees will hear testimony on the proposed 2009 defense budget from Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Michael Mullen.
The World Affairs Councils of America are holding their annual conference on foreign policy and the next president.
Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill is testifying before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee about the six-party talks concerning North Korea.
