The likely Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, is meeting with the House Republican Conference, many of whose members have opposed McCain's maverick stances over the years.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is hearing testimony from star baseball pitcher Roger Clemens and his former trainer, Brian McNamee, on whether McNamee injected Clemens with steroids.
The Council on Foreign Relations is holding a discussion on what $100-a-barrel oil means to U.S. national security.
