LOS ANGELES – Lori Caudill, 49, a retail store manager, and her daughter, Courtney, 23, a college student, drove four hours from their Los Osos, Calif., home to attend the Obama rally led by Oprah Winfrey and Caroline Kennedy at UCLA.
But when Maria Shriver took the stage, the crowd really roared, they said. They were standing just 10 feet from the stage, on the floor of the basketball arena where the rally was held.
“It was quite a shock. Driving down here, I asked my daughter, ‘Do you think Maria will be here?’ and she said, ‘I don’t think so.’ We’re such Kennedy-philes, and Maria and Caroline are close,” Lori Caudill said. The hourlong event, however, left Courtney with a sore back. “I lost my voice,” the daughter added.
Another mother-daughter moment unfolded earlier Sunday morning.
Shriver appeared at the rally without makeup, her hair windblown, and dressed in a casual brown jacket that was intended for a horse show that she had attended with her daughter. Shriver said she made the decision to publicly endorse Obama at the last minute.
“At 7:30 this morning, I said to (my daughter), ‘I think I should be at UCLA.’ She said, ‘Mommy, if you think you can help… then go,” Shriver said. Her husband, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenneger, a Republican, has endorsed John McCain.

So it looks like 'BARKY' OBAMA('BARKY' because he wanted to invade PAKHISTAN because his step-father was a 'PAKHI' - talk about your 'Freudian' buzz logic!!!) MASTER SHAKESPEARE wrote 'TITUS ANDRONICUS' over 400 years ago - TEMORA 'the evil Goth queen' and AARON 'the Moore' combine forces to rape, cut off the arms+legs, tongue, gouge out the eyes of LAVINIA - AND NOW - 'Evil' HILLARY and 'BARKY' OBAMA will join 'liberal lunatics' to eviscerate AMERICA in the same way TEMORA + AARON joined forces to ravish/quarter LAVINIA. IS SHAKESPEARE'S BLOODIEST PLAY A MESSAGE/PREDICTION AS TO WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO AMERICA??? TEMORA = 'EVIL' HILLARY AARON = 'BARKY' OBAMA LAVINIA = PROSTRATE AMERICA

Nice, but what matters is not the opinions of former scions, but the resumes of the candidates themselves:

Well the corrupt clinton's have an excellent resume. Their top three accomplishments:
Runner up - In 1994, after only 2 years of corrupt clinton's in office - the REPUBLICANS GAIN CONTROL OF 12 Governorships and countless state House and Senate seats.
1994 - after only 2 years of corrupt clinton's in office - A REPULICAN CONTROLLED SENATE - the first in 8 years - on a HUGE 8 seat swing.
1994 - after only 2 years of corrupt clinton's in office - A REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED HOUSE - the FIRST IN 40 YEARS - on a GIGANTIC 54 seat swing.
2000 - after 8 years of corrupt clinton's in office, this one took a little longer because it was so much harder to accomplish - A TWO TERM REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT
With corrupt clinton's in office, it will be one scandal after another. Already they are up to their necks in scandals with illegal campaign donations. The next round of scandals is when they have to repay their donors back.

Everyone seems to be surprised that Shriver supported Obama today. Shriver is Oprah's buddy so why are you surprised? But here is the thing, Shriver is the first lady of California and if California's economic crisis is any reflection of Obama's Shriver support then our country is in for worse than Bush.

It was a great event and Oprah was kind enough to thank the football fans
in attendance.
Fortunately I got home in time catch the start of the second quarter. The rally and the Super Bowl made it a super day for me.
The highlights for me were Caroline, Oprah, Michelle, Maria, and that drive for the winning touchdown.
Never underestimate the underdog.

Ok, I guess more normal people weren't on the Swamp yesterday, preferring to watch the SuperBowl because there is lots if nonsensical gibberish in here.
Zyskander, I am a Republican and not for Obama and Hillary, but what in the world are you trying to say here? Looks like you drank too much beer last night?
Then, we have FJ Stratford: the Nazi wing of the Kennedy clan??? Ok, smoke some more dope, dude.
And, then we have "J" with this: OBAMA RULES HILLARY DROOLS & OLD BILL IS JUST A FOOL.
Did you watch the E*trade baby commercials too much last night???
Three folks here who almost make "John E.," sound a tiny bit sane!

Oh, by the way, THREE Swamp posts on Maria and Obama???

Isn't it King's dream that our nation will arise for this occaison? That aperson will be judge by the content of their charater and not the color of one's skin?
Why not Obama?

Mona seemed to blank out on the fact that it's a Republican governor of California who's calling the shots and who's wrought California's crisis. So kudos to Maria Shriver for finally separating her politics from her husband's.
And the first post from Z.A.J. sounded like someone released too soon. More apt modern-day avatars of Tamora and Aaron -- albeit with a swap of countenance -- are Condi & Cheney-manipulating-the-talking-puppet-Bush.

The whole world is watching USA to stand by the True democracy which they preach and practice. The case of Senator Clinton and Senator Obama is a "close contest". Most non-USA citizens belief it is time to see non-white president of America.

Who is Jaimot and why is this piece of derangement allowed to vomit all over the Swamp?

How come those Kennedys who endorse Obama get a ton of attention, but those Kennedys endorsing Clinton (RFK's kids, for instance) get little attention?

Indeed. I truly fail to see what possible purpose can be served by having such spewings of incoherent garbage posted here.

Approximately 11 months from now, America will once again be called to reveal its conscience.
I have traveled this road before and the destination was a place that I had never left. The powers that be (the American people) allowed themselves to be unduly influenced by the media, polls, religious leaders and any and all forces opposed to a black man having the opportunity to serve his nation in the highest office of the land.
There is great debate again, over whether or not a black man has the experience and or qualifications to represent the best interest of America on the stage of foreign policy. Well, America, ask yourself this, “With all of their so called qualifications and experiences, how have the previous leaders of this nation fared??” We don’t look so good on the worldwide stage. America, we have tried the others, let’s try a brother.
America if you choose to be blind and foolish again where you have an opportunity, again, for the first time in the history of our nation to truly take charge of how we stand on the world stage, then we have learned not much from the lessons of the past.
America, (the American people) it is the charge of us all to create the true society, where all of us have access to security, healthcare, education, and there should not be one hungry or homeless person that is a citizen of America. Until America fixes its own problems I don’t believe that we have the right to determine the fate of other peoples of the world. Just as other peoples of this world have no more right to determine our fate.
Ask yourself America, “Can the brotherhood of man become a reality in this day?” Remember Dr. King.
Ask yourself America, “What can I do for my country?”
Remember President Kennedy.
Ask yourself America (brother and sisters), “By any means necessary?”
Remember Malcom.
Unless and until America (the American people) come to terms with their on soul deep prejudice and acknowledge that we (the American people) are to stand on the world stage and declare. With liberty and justice for all.
It may not be time for a black man, but it is past time for the right man, who happens to be Black.

Huh!?!?!?!
What are you spewing? First, Barack's step-father was from Indonesia, not Pakistan. Second, have you looked at a map of the world recently? Miles of land and water between the two countries.
Your using the Internet to pass on gibberish. The least you could do is check your own sources of information for validity before spouting this garbage.

The best thing we readers can do is ignore the haters. Such deep hate!! They must hate themselves as well, because their hate "runneth over"....
I do not hate Hillary, I simply think Obama is best for our Country at this time, mainly because the U S have so many haters within and without.....
I think the Swamp and other blogs are good outlet for the haters; that enables "Homeland Security" can keep track of them.

I am saddened to see such comments from supposedly intelligent folks. I have voted both Republican and Democratic in past elections. It seems to me that once in every generation someone arises who can inspire people to try to be better and do more. In my parents' generation it was FDR, in ours it was JFK and now it appears to be Obama. These people are not perfect, but if we cannot be inspired to be better than we are it is a sorry state of affairs. Let's give the only candidate not promoting class, ethnic or heritage hatred a chance and see what he can do. It cannot be worse than what we have now.

I just posted this on the article about the young man who killed his parents, but I see a connections, so I am posting it here also:
Another child shooting his parents. How very sad.
My mother use to quote "It takes a Village to Raise a Child" Now days that is more complicated, yet, needed more than ever.
I to have noticed in my work, far "too many of them (teenagers) are also hopeless, defeated and disengaged";
to me, that is among the greatest reasons that we need a U S President capable of inspiring a POSITIVE MOVEMENT OF " EACH INDIVIDUAL HAS VALUE AND CAN MAKE A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE - in the world, not just a president who will dot the "I'S" and CROSS THE "T'S"; actually the "I" doting and "T" crossing is suppose to be a group decision anyway...
Though it is helpful to see that Crime, even at the white collar level, is being punished, but that is not enough. We all have to search our souls, and ask what more good we can do without crossing "The complicated lines" of our times. Then just do it.
The only way change can happen is the "WE" must be inspired to believe that we not only can, but will be allowed-to, and expected-to take the lead in making the much needed changes happen.
" A President Like My Father
By CAROLINE KENNEDY
"I have spent the past five years working in the New York City public schools and have three teenage children of my own. There is a generation coming of age that is hopeful, hard-working, innovative and imaginative. But too many of them are also hopeless, defeated and disengaged. As parents, we have a responsibility to help our children to believe in themselves and in their power to shape their future. Senator Obama is inspiring my children, my parents’ grandchildren, with that sense of possibility."

I was so humiliated by the behavior of the Kennedy's at Obama's coming out parties! Ted Kennedy was a fool, the Kennedy woman deminished themselves. Maria was just disgusting with all that gushing! I couldn't go in public again if I were either one of the woman, and ofcourse Ted probably got sick he made such an idiot of himself...too bad, ruin the name at the end of their time.
