The Robert Goulet set, a seniors' moment?: The Swamp

Much has been made of the size and energy of the youth vote in the early primaries, especially among Democrats.

But until it proves otherwise in the general election, the YouTube vote will be regarded as fickle and unpredictable.

Are they really registered, or just making noise? Will they show up on Election Day?

Not so the Polident set. They vote with a vengeance.

And to help them make up their minds, as if they needed help doing that, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys has assembled a grid that lays out the 'senior friendliness' of the remaining candidates.

Notwithstanding the buzz about 20-somethings newly-jazzed by visions of Camelot flocking to the polls, the Academy points out that the first elements of a shuffling army of 75 million Baby Boomers -- people who know who Robert Goulet was and may even have seen him in bad dinner theater -- is now hitting 60 years of age and likely will command the attention of candidates on issues like Social Security, Medicare and taxes.

Guys make sure you check out the article "The Intoxication of Inspiration" on the blogzine SAVAGE POLITICS (not related to Mike Savage) at www.savagepolitics.com. It is awesome......everyone should read it before voting.

We have been hearing about the 'youth' vote since '72. It never materializes.

Kids, I trust your political instincts, but not your commitment.
