A step up on the Democrats: Republicans ready to campaign for November. Bush did a little soft-shoe before welcoming McCain on the front steps of the White House today. (Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images.

President Bush walked out the front door of the White House this morning to greet the new Republican nominee for president, Sen. John McCain, under the elegant North Portico, a spot usually reserved for foreign dignitaries.
But McCain and his wife, Cindy, had not arrived yet.
The president deflected questions from the press, saying there would be plenty of time for that later during a Rose Garden gathering. He did agree, however, that “it is a beautiful day.”
“Well anyway, as I was saying,” Bush joked, deciding to blame his advance man for the timing snafu.
Bush proceeded to do a little soft shoe for the press. “I’m just going to tap dance,” he said.
Eventually, Bush turned and headed back to the front door.
“Let’s start over and play like it never happened,” he said, disappearing inside the White House for a minute.
And then the McCains pulled up the driveway in a black Cadillac and Bush walked back out to greet them, shaking hands with the senator and hugging Cindy.
They are currently having lunch and will come to the Rose Garden for the formal endorsement scheduled for 1:15 p.m. More later.

“Let’s start over and play like it never happened,”
If only we could do this with his presidency.

"FCC SPEAKS"
Let me take this opportunity to raise ....MO MONEY, MO MONEY, MO MONEY, MO MONEY for our new GOP "subsidies" from large BELL COMPANIES except QWEST aka U.S. WEST!
Let these five "UNELECTED OFFICIALS" WHO, ARE NOT INDEPENDENT OF THE POLITICAL BRANCHES OF THIS WHITE HOUSE! Who have stolen the "fruits of competition" showing no confidence in our ability to engage in open and transparent ways.
Let me take this opportunity to NOT ONLY DEMAND IMMUNITY FROM PROSECUTION, BUT IMMUNITY AND PROTECTION FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE and their pesky frivoulous tort suits against their civil liberties we walked on for politcal gain "only"!
Let me take this opportunity to again "reiterate" without a doubt that John McCain was not influenced by "THAT WOMAN"
Let me take this opportunity as "THE CHAIRMAN" of this five unelected political minded people to say, "WE DON'T RECALL" Too!
So go out and get a converter box and shut the heck up and you might get to see the next "CHANGING OF THE GUARDS" BUSH KNEW II!

Whoohoo! Whata photo. McCain makes a pit-stop aboard his flip-flop talk express bus (Over-stuffed with Lobbyists) to shake the hand on the ONE person that could actually worsen things for him politically. Just like the last major endorsement, from a bigoted religious zealot, now he picks up another endoresement travesty. McCain = Bush third term. What i like about the afforementioned equation is it has been so much fun to watch this main gravel to his right wing base to get the nomination and get through the convention without them turning on him like a pack of Hyena's, only to attempt the imppossible and convince voters he is a moderate in time for the general election. Hilarious.

The Bush/Cheney crime family endorsement should be about as welcome as a porcupine at a nudist retreat.
How sad are McCain's chances this fall?
He's practically running unopposed and barely cracked 50% in Texas.
Bring it on GOPer's, Barack or Hillary both will kick that old man's butt...

That McCain, following the smear campaign Bush pulled on him in 2000 - remember the 'black baby out of wedlock' KKKarl Rove gambit? - that he would still meet with him and grovel for a handshake in front of the cameras proves he has no self respect and no backbone. Glad he was nominated. He'll be the easiest Repub to beat in Nov.

Swamp poll:
Which is worse - listening to Bush talk or watching him dance?
