The Swamp

by Frank James

President Bush today revealed a truth that's obvious to political observers. But it was nonetheless striking to hear the president say it with such candor.

When candidates promise "change" they're just giving voters what they want to hear, he said, implying that they don't necessarily mean it.

The president's candor bomb came in response to a reporter's question.

Q My question is if we could talk about the -- the voters, according to a lot of the exit polls, seem to be thirsting for change this year. And I'd like to ask both of you -- excuse me -- I'd like to ask to ask both of you how the Republican Party, which has been here for eight years, is going to make the case that you're going to provide the change that the voters seem to want both on Iraq and on the economy.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Yeah. Let me start off by saying that in 2000, I said, "Vote for me. I'm an agent of change." In 2004, I said, "I'm not interested in change. I want to continue as president."

Every candidate has got to say "change." That's what the American people expect...

Now you've got it from the man himself, if you didn't know before.

No, you're wrong again Prez Doofus, people really do want change and they're not interested in the GOPer's vision (McCain) of "stay the course" dressed up and sold to America as "change".

19%...and FALLING!

Clueless!!!!

This comment by the Pres. tells the tale of Barack Obama. A huckster or a feather merchant?

What a dope! No wonder he doesn't know the price of a gallon of gasoline. He does not have a clue about the lives and aspirations of the people he governs. Good riddance. Adios. Sayonara. Adieu. And, by the way, take all of your friends and compadres with you.

The ex-coke head/alchy, AWOL, frat boy, son of privelage has always been a phony - some of us just don't want to admit it.

Oh thank you, master of the obvious. Thanks for making all so clear.

For a nickel every time he used the word 'change' in 00.

And talk about no details. I remember in a debate with Kerry he said there was no need to change SS. Then came the 'plan'. Talk about filp flop.

Anywho, that's water over the top of the spillway. Now we have McBush to worry about.

McBush; a former centerist, now completing his right wing shuffle. Remember, McCain = Bush.

Sounds like somebody clued him in to why people laughed when he said, "If I were running this year, I'd be for change too."

They also say they will be uniters, not dividers. And that they aren't in the business of nation building...should I go on?

Clueless as always. Enjoy snorting coke in Crawford!

p.s. enjoy Texas while you can because if there is justice in this world you will find yourself behind bars where you (GWB) belong. Bush = Criminal.

wonder if those two front rows of white people at wink wink's rallies are independants connected to his cousin dick cheney
Change already started - IT STARTED IN NOVEMBER 2006 and its destined to be
complete in 2008 and - GUESS WHAT - its happening with or without Hillary and
certainly not WITH cousin of Dick Cheney aka - Wink Wink NAFTA Obama (also
aka wannabee JFK /MLK/AND FREAKING JESUS).

The Illusion of wink wink Obama bringing some sort of change is just that 'an illusion' A LIE that tells AMERICA that change is somehow his to give.

THE FACTS ARE THAT ITS HIS ONLY DESPERATE HOPE & LIFELINE and ticket to the
Whitehouse is entirely based on his CHANGE FEAR MONGERING he has to lie to americans that his type of change is needed and
he cannot let the USA Know that CHANGE IS ALREADY HERE. -- HE HAS NOTHING
ELSE TO OFFER--

No, Bush. "Change" isn't what voters want to hear. It's what Americans are praying for when you're finally gone.

Bush is a liar? Who woulda thunk it.

I am sick and tired of all the promises of change. There is no such thing as change with any politician. What are they going to change? It isn't Bush's fault people signed loan papers for homes they could not afford. Since when was it our right to own a home? Now we all will be paying for it because good ole' Bill, that's right, the other Clinton, forced legislation to open home ownership to people who could not afford it. While I will agree the war has not turned out how anyone wanted it to, but everyone who approved of the war(Hillary included) had the same access to the intelligence that the war was based on. So everyone quit your whining. If things in this country are so bad, why do people continue to fill their SUV's with that $3+ gas? And why do people continue to donate millions of dollars so these politicians can advertise more about "Change".

What an arrogant cocky response; just tell the ones that voted for you, the ones not well connected that you lied to them. Somehow I feel history will repeat if Hillary gets in...
