The Georgian guest at the White House today was saving the last dance back home for his Texan host.

Thousands had massed in the sunny town square of old Tbilisi when President Bush last visited – and an undetonated grenade was found there after he left.

“I was just reminiscing with the president about my trip to Georgia, about the unbelievably good food, and about the dancing,’’ Bush said today, playing host to Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili at the White House. “He was wondering whether I'd come back and start my dancing career there. And I told him I probably better quit while I'm ahead. ''

Saakashvili, thanking his host for including his nation in “the Bush freedom agenda,’’ called the American president’s appearance there “a photographic memory in our people’s minds’’ and invited Bush to return.

“You will dance Georgia dance much better than I do,’’ sais Saakashvili. “You are invited back, to come. You've shown considerable talent…I know you're not Georgian, you're a Texan, but we are pretty close… But deep in your mind you should have something Georgian.''

“That’s right,’’ Bush said.

“And, I mean, we certainly...’’ the Georgian continued – (and that’s why they call these 'photo opportunities') -- “if you don't want to dance with us, then you can come and bike with us, or do anything.’’

I wonder if Republican Prez McFlightsuit did the "sword dance" when he visited Georgia?

What an idiot, the sooner the Republicans are out of power (2008) the better for America and the world.

Actually Johnnny E., the quicker mumsy and dadsy put an end to your Internet access and actually make you get a job, the better the world will be. WEll, maybe keeping in the basement is better than you out in the real world. So, let's just keep it that mumsy and dadsy stop your Internet access.

Maybe Lyle Lovett could do a version os "We Know You're Not from Georgia, but Georgia Wants You Anyway"? George might be able to do a Texas two-step to that.

That's a great post. I found a website on developing
photographic memory and I've tried the tips that they offer. They worked pretty well for me. It's at www.photographic-memory.org
