At the close of a week in which Eliot Spitzer, out-pushed governor of New York, has been rebranded as Client No. 9 in a prostitution-ring scandal -- a week in which Client 9 T-shirts have gone on sale on the Web -- SIRIUS radio is cranking up a weekend of "Client 9 Radio.''
Featuring the owner of the Moonlight Bunny Ranch, John McCain and more.... wait a minute. Siriusly? This McCain appearance isn't quite what the radio folks are making it out to be, camp McCain says.
SIRIUS, the subscription satellite radio service, has invited everyone from conservative commentator Bill Bennett to Playboy radio -- with interviews of prostitutes -- to weigh in on the saga of the New York governor ensnared in a federal probe of the Emperors Club VIP.
They are even billing a segment with Bennett and Sen. John McCain of Arizona, the presumptive Republican Party nominee for president, in a series of weekend spots that will iinclude the owner of the Moonlight Bunny Ranch, the legit brothel in Nevada.
But the McCain campaign said later today that the company's press release may have implied that McCain is "somehow scheduled to do an interview on the Spitzer issue. He’s not.
"He did an interview earlier this week on Bill Bennett that covered many topics,'' a McCain campaign spokesman said, "and Bennett asked about Spitzer as well. It appears that Sirius plans on re-playing that answer on this Client 9 thing.''
Callers will get a chance to join the debate with Vinnie Politan and others, starting at 5 pm EDT this evening and running through midnight Monday. For those with a subscription, it's on Ch. 126.
"Client 9 Radio was created in response to passionate listener response to the story throughout the week,'' the company says. "Vinnie Politan, former Court TV Radio host, will be live in studio throughout the weekend to take calls from around the country, and offer expert legal advice and insight.''
In addition to the call-in segments of the show, "Client 9 Radio will include segments contributed by many SIRIUS hosts and experts from various fields, including law, public relations, medicine, and psychology, such as
Judith Regan (host of The Judith Regan Show) with Rachel Marsden (ex-girlfriend of Wikipedia founder who sold his stuff on eBay after he broke up with her via his website), priivate eye Vito Colucci, Jr. on catching spouses in the act; Bill Bennett (host on SIRIUS Patriot) with Senator John McCain discussing the story; Andrew Wilkow (host on SIRIUS Patriot) with New York GOP Assembly Leader James Tedisco; Larry Flick (host on SIRIUS OutQ) with Ed Koch; Ron Silver (host on Indie Talk) with Alan Dershowitz; Alex Bennett (host on SIRIUS Left) with Dennis Hof, owner of Moonlight Bunny Ranch in Nevada on prostitutes and politicians; The Playboy Radio Morning Show talking to high-priced prostitutes about the scandal.

This affair shows how "sick" the media have become. There are panels on prostitution. There are experts who discuss the ramifications of the ramifications of prostitution. There are discussions of how to become a good prostitute. It goes on and on and on until some other event takes center stage. Then the media go trotting off to have more panels, and talky shows, and more in-depth analysis. All of this is designed to make us an informed citizenry, to enhance our lives, to enlighten us. Aaaaaaaarrrrrgh!!!

Nothing but shear titillation...I'm sure the "news" men are falling all over themselves for interviews with some of these girls. He wanted sex and tried to get it without anyone knowing. Keep in mind those who protest the loudest...may well be guilty of same.
I hope everyone remembers that the Karma train eventually visits all stations.

I think it's hilarious. Why shouldn't any politician talk to Bill Bennett about it? If I were on the show I'd bring up Bill's gambling problem, too. Lots of media outlets, like the New York Post, are getting rich off the tale of Eliot and Ashley, sounds to me like sour grapes that the people in satellite radio are getting some of that scratch, too.
