CNN has a news segment by reporter Jeanne Moos that takes a look at some of the YouTube parodies of Sen. Hillary Clinton's "3 am" ad. And there are a bunch of them.
While it's not a parody of the commercial, check out Red State Update's humorous "analysis," (I use that word guardedly.)

Comments
I liked the Redstate improvement. It's nice to see the Swamp using a conservative site's work and not just giving us the same old stuff that every liberal site puts up.

Clinton 3 am phone call ad inspires much parody.
Deservedly so! Please go away Mrs Clinton. We are so done with you and Bill!
But the Hillary's Bataan Death March trudges along.
Arghhh...end it please!!!

Jeff, don't be fooled by that. Writers like James and Silva will post anything as long as it ridicules Clinton or is flattering to Obama. Don't mistake them posting something from a conservative site as suddenly becoming objective in their reporting.

It is disconcerting that many of the parodies seem to take a misogynist slant on things. Pointing out the Hillary is wearing a "pantsuit" as if that underscores her failure to play a proper female role. Obama's condescending comments during various debates also play into this perception. The Obama campaign has been much more effective in subtlely playing the "female card" while vilifying any attempt to play the "race card".
It's frankly puzzling to me how timid the press has been with Obama. The Republicans will not be so gentle because they don't have to worry about alienating Obama's core supporters. Obama as an "Liberal" is a potent charge in the country as a whole and something that Obama will have little basis to defend himself against.
Let's hope that Obama does not end up like McGovern or Goldwater... the darling of the extreme wing of the party but unelectable nationally.

"FIRST LADY SPEAKS"
The Iraqi Government is still a "work in progress"
Iraq 2005 was a year of progress towards meeting George Bush's Dick Cheney's goal of "VICTORY."
The Bush Administration has done a wonderful "second strategy for "VICTORY" is to train the Iraqi's so they CAN TAKE THE FIGHT AGAINST THE FEW...
ONE HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS LATER. It has "shred the credibility of the United States."
Vice President, Vice President, I have to go it's 3am in the morning, and we cannot continue to get "CHINESE CREDITORS" calling attempting to COLLECT A DEBT!
Vice President, Vice President, I have to go, it's 3am, I know 47 million Uninsured Americans depend on us. I know the annual premium family price was $6230.00 and is now $12,106.
Vice President, Vice President, I have to go it's 3am, I know the US Trade Deficit went from 380 Billion to 780 billion.
Vice President, Vice President, I have to go, it's 3am and this is a "AT&T long distance" calling card and you can only pay in "EUROS" and George Bush, Dick Cheney's Ben Bernake, and that old AT&T CEO running Fannie has made my dollar worth 58c. I have to go, I can't afford the call!

The "red state update" parody is funny, but even funnier are the postings by clueless "Herbie H." and "Jeff" that the redstateupdate.com performers are "conservatives".
Perhaps "Herbie H." and "Jeff" confuse Redstate.com (which IS conservative) with Redstateupdate.com, which is a pair of liberals satirizing and stereotyping conservatives.
Frank James would no more post a conservative video than David Duke would post an NAACP video.

At long last crybaby Bruce the RNC propaganda TOOL has some competition. Swamp, meet crybaby Herbie H. Sorry you picked such a lame candidate to back (Hillary), but that's on you pal. She's run a seedy campaign which is just what we've come to expect from the Clintons. Barack Obama offers a break from the old Bush/Clinton nepotism.

Yep, that liberal Tribune.
Where are the posts about McCain and his buddy Hagee? The Trib made a big deal out of Farrakhan - how about some equal time here??
(Swamp editor's note: See Saturday's posting about Farrakhan and Hagee, "with friends like these....:)

I agree with Bobin.....why does McCain hate Catholics and Jews?

Dear Swamp editor:
Nice post - but 2/3 of that article concentrated NOT on Hagee, but on Obama and Farrakhan.
Again, why was the press all over Obama about Farrakhan, but McCain gets a free pass about Hagee?
bill r.: Let's challenge Brucie and Johnny D to a tag team match.

Bobin...I can whine with the best of em. Just can't understand why he hasn't rejected and denounced this haters endorsement.

Bruce, I did have those websites confused. Sorry to be so "clueless" as to not measure up to your high standards. Condescending and arrogant. Nice personality combination. No wonder nobody likes you.
Former Brainwashed Republican, I will be dead and in the ground before I would vote for Hillary. As someone who can't stand either Hillary or Obama, I think I can be somewhat objective on this narrow issue, and it is that the Swamp writers are decidedly pro-Obama, and they really make no effort to conceal it. I know, I know. He brings hope for change. Or was it change for hope? I guess it doesn't matter.
