Preparing for tonight's primary election returns from Ohio and Texas, Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign is not only maintaining an optimistic stance, but also saying that it is preparing for a long stretch of campaigning for the next big-state contest, Pennsylvania's, on April 22.
"We are bullish about our prospects for this evening.,''' Howard Wolfson, the campaign's chief spokesman, said in a conference call today. "We think we have closed a very strong lead through this weekend.''
And the Clinton camp is continuing its pressure on Sen. Barack Obama to answer questions about his relationship with Tony Rezko, the Chicago political patron on trial in Chicago. Obama has insisted that there is nothing untoward to talk about.
"We feel very, very good about tonight,'' Wolfson said. "We feel we will have a very strong case to make to Democratic voters -- Sen. Clinton has put together a very diverse list of states she has won…
They will say that "this last contest closed on the issue of who was ready to be commander-in-chief and who was ready to be the steward of this economy, and that we passed those tests and Sen. Obama has not,'' Wolfson said. "We are not going to nominate someone in our party to run against Sen. (John) McCain who has not passed the commander-in-chief test and has not passed the steward of the economy test.’’
After Ohio, Texas, Rhode Island and Vermont vote today, the Clinton camp faces a long road: "It’s the longest stretch of time we’ve had without a primary or caucus,'' Wolfson said "Sen. Clinton will use that period to continue to make the case that she is prepared and ready to be commander-in-chief, ready and experienced to turn our economy around…
“We are simply not going to nominate somebody whom voters have doubts about as commander-in-chief and steward of the economy
And the tack they might take against Obama in any continuing campaign for the party's nomination also appears clear: "I think Sen. Obama will continue to be dogged by these questions unless he is prepared… to answer them fully,'' Wolfson said.

who is the examiner of these tests, Mr.Wolfson?

Wolfson is a two-faced scum. Why should people listen to him when he has concoct so many lies and hypocrasy. His main tacit is to attack and debase his opponent with negative myths and accusations. Ask him what Hilary's foreign experiences are. Ask him where is Hilary's tax returns. Ask him how much money he is making in this campaign.
The media is being harsh on Hilary? I think not! The media has attacked Obama's religion, race, name, schoo, everything.
The media wouldn't point a finger towards Hilary because everyone is afraid she'll release her warth like she did to the "Pimp" comment from MSNBC.

I truly hate Hilary Clinton... Her campaign strategy of lies are truly disgusting..

The Clinton camp must've figured out a way to steal this election. God knows they've stooped to all new lows the last few weeks!!!
"They are going to have a very hard choice to make after Tuesday if she loses Texas or Ohio," top Obama adviser David Axelrod said Saturday. "There are people in the party who are very concerned about this turning into some kind of a Bataan Death March."
Hillary's Bataan Death March continues...Arggghhh.

YOU MIGHT BE AN IDIOT:-)
If you think Barack Obama with little or no experience would be better than Hillary Clinton with 35 years experience.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with little or no education experience is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) made higher education affordable for every American. And created higher job demand and starting salary's than they had ever been before or since.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)
Best regards
jacksmith...

I used to respect Clinton until she started her negative campaign against Obama. Clinton, Wolfson and Co are destroying the Democratic prospects for a comeback this year. Clinton has revealed nothing in her character to prove that she can be a commander-in-chief, or her „long years of experience“ has prepared her for the job. Her campaign has been in disarray; she cannot keep her cool under pressure; she changes her moods a soften as the weather. Sharing tears twice in the course of two weeks or so – that is not a character trait of a CIC. Further, Clinton is too polarizing. On emotional quotient she is still in the puberty.

Come on people, lets not be nasty. Aren't we all adults and following a typical presidential campaign. All I can say is, lets just wait it out and let the best person win the nomination for the Democratic Party. It very well may be Hillary Clinton, if its not and Obama should win then so be it. I will just have to vote for John McCain in the general election.

All unfortunately, so very true. I couldn't have put it better. I've lost all respect for her over the course of the campaign and the thought of her getting elected frightens me.

Poor Wolfie. Just be glad you're not him...sitting in Starbucks, envying the unemployed...

"Bullish" is apparently a typo. The "i" goes after the "sh", and somebody missed the "t" at the end. That would be a more accurate description of Sen. Clinton's candidacy.
Proudly independent-thinking centrist voting for Obama over McCain, but McCain over Clinton.

Everyone read this! I am in Ohio and several precincts have been turning voters away, telling them they are out of ballots. The local news says that those turned away are mostly independents and cross-over Republicans, this smells very foul to me, since by all accounts, large turnout was expected weeks in advance. I think those that were sent home (in the heavy rain today) should be allowed to cast their votes tomorrow. What a bunch of bunk and I wonder who was behind this...

GUESS WHAT! You might be an idiot if you realize Hillary is counting her private law firm experience (you know, the time with Rose Law, the one with all the indictments, missing subpoenaed papers, sudden suicide of Hillary's counsel, Vince Foster, etc.) as well as her eight years doing spousal PR work with Hubby Perjury Bill! You also might be an idiot if you do not realize that Obama only counted his actual 20 years of experience. sounds like about 20/20 to me
