Actually, the winner in the PA Democrat primary will be determined by race, not Rendell. As John Hawkins observes:

So, we have Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, two very similar candidates, running for the presidency. But, black Democrats are breaking for Obama at better than an 80/20 clip and white Democrats, particularly older white Democrats, are breaking towards Hillary at about 70/30.

Dare I suggest that race is a significant factor here? ...
That leads us to an interesting question: who's a bigger racist? A black Democrat who votes for Obama because he's black or a white Democrat who votes for Hillary because he won't vote for a black man?"

Great article on Politico today about how a group of 50 Ohio superdelegates (including Kucinich and his pocket constitution) have sent a letter to both campaigns asking for favors in return for support. And what kind of favors do they want? Boodles and patronage, of course!

This kind of thing will eliminate any quaint notion that the voters will be picking the democrat nominee this year. I can't wait to see the list of earmarks demanded by each state's superdelegates, regardless of who's ahead in the actual delegate count the people voted on or not.

Obama has the most delegates, the most votes (popular), and the most states. OBAMA should be at the top of that so-called "dream" ticket. The Clinton campaign is nasty, lying, and deficive. I'm ashamed of them. I wish Obama would call up John Edwards or Bill Richardson. If you had said Bill R. you would have won TX. Duh.

But Lisa, that could all change before June. Also, remember that every big state went for Hillary. If you think Obama will win the Carolinas, Georgia and Mississippi in November then you're being delusional.

Jeopardizing delegate rich California and important swing states like Nevada with Obama is an awful risk to take for the democrats.

Why are the media and Hillary supporters talking about a Clinton/Obama ticket?? Why are they presuming Clinton is the nominee? Mr. Obama is currently in the lead in popular votes, delegtates, and states won. According to the mathematics, there is NO way Hillary can catch up to him! the crossover voting is the ONLY reason Hillary won in TEXAS

there were 3 million votes cast for the presidential nomination of the democratic party in texas

less than half that many were cast for democratic nominees to the US senate

less than half that many voted for any republican presidential candidate - though three candidates who are very popular in texas were still actively campaigning (and this was before mccain had clinched the nomination) - the three were; mccain - (popular among the texas veterans and military communities and die hard red state republicans), ron paul (a texan whose immigration and tax stances are very popular in texas) and mike huckabee (from neighboring arkansas with the endorsement of the dallas morning news, famous texan - chuck norris and Bible-belt icon james dobson)

texas is a red state - bush's home state and a state that listens to limbaugh - you do the math

hillary's plan is to;

1) get the delegates by manipulating to get the florida and michigan and superdelegates counted inappropriately

and/or

2) have republicans and racists decide the democratic nomination by crossover voting in the remaining states (several are in the South)

the math is clear, there is no other path for hillary to come close to 2024 delegates

most likely she will do both of the above

furthermore she has NO plans to release her 2006 tax forms before July (or more likely December, if then) - these are 2006 tax forms we are talking about - TWO THOUSAND AND SIX !!!!!!!!

make NO mistake - there is NO way hillary can even come close AT ALL in MISSISSIPPI without racists and republican crossover votes and hillary knows it (the crossover voting has been contested in federal court but not in time for next Tuesday)

but HILLARY DOESN'T CARE

even if she cannot get quite enough racists to crossover and vote for her, she can still play the cheating card

I am so sick of seeing Ed Rendell be the voice of the Clinton campaign. I can tell you that I will never cast another vote for him again. I believe that he is going to take a hit politically for getting so embedded in this campaign. Rendells constituents should be heard - not him! Hillary has to win every remaining state by 23% to win the majority and that won't happen. She is willing to destroy the democratic party in her hope of stealing this election.
