The Hillary Clinton campaign has its fourth-quarter strategy lined up.
Saturday, in a state-of-the-race conference call, campaign officials spoke elliptically about the road ahead, but it was rather clear where they were going.
Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan, the convention.
Clinton came out Saturday in support of a plan to stage a "re-do" of the Michigan primary in early June." It needs to get resolved and hopefully Michigan by the end of this week will have done that," Clinton told reporters on her campaign plane between stops in Pennsylvania, according to the Associated Press. "I think they are moving in an appropriate direction to have a revote."
Clinton "won" the first Michigan primary Jan. 15 and her campaign has maintained that she should be able to simply seat the delegates she won at the convention. Neither Clinton nor Obama campaigned in Michigan and Florida because of both states' refusal to abide by Democratic National Committee rules in setting their primary dates.
In fact, Clinton's name was the only one on the ballot in Michigan. This week, in an interview, Clinton called the result in that state "fair" and said it was Obama's choice to remove his name was "his decision." Her campaign Saturday accused Obama of removing his name from the Michigan ballot in order to curry favor with Democratic voters in other early primaries. That Clinton stayed on the ballot, they said, showed her commitment to Michigan voters.
In Florida, state officials are still examining whether a mail-in primary would be workable, but there is little enthusiasm for the idea. Both campaigns have accused the other of not working harder to find a solution, although it's clear that there remains a greater incentive for Clinton to do what she can to make the first vote, Jan. 29, count in some way since won the state. Penn said yesterday that the Clinton camp would not support any solution that didn't involve full tabulation of the delegates, saying the principle was about one person, one vote. The Obama campaign has been favoring not counting the delegates at all, or splitting them up 50-50.
The endgame, Clinton campaign officials suggested, was getting close enough so that the Democratic superdelegates, who are uncommitted party luminaries, come into play. Penn rejected the notion that having those superdelegates decide the contest would somehow be undemocratic. "Superdelegates are superdelegates," he said. "They're there to use their best judgment."
Right now, Obama leads Clinton by just over 100 delegates.

I am so tired of these primaries even tho I'l admit its the best reality t.v out there where everyone has an opinion. However, the Clinton campaign gets to stomp all over Pensylvania while Obama gets side tracked by addressing loud foul mouth preacher connections and a self absorbed political fund raiser that has ties to the Clintons as well.
I'm tired of the Anderson Coopers who play the pastor tapes 4 and 5 times an hour then turned around and played them 4 and 5 times in another hour. I lost lots of respect for Anderson and CNN.
All the while, the economy is in the tank, gas is at an all time high, kids can't pay for education so the likes like Bill Gates wants to outsource and or bring in immigrants better prepared for the job market. Many of us don't have money to put into 401Ks so we wonder if we'l be homeless since Bush made it clear not to count on Social Security.
So lets watch the Anderson Coopers, the media owned by the ubber rich tear the only viable candidate to shreds. Lets watch as they try desparately to hold on to their personal tax cuts; their incentives that have so lavishly been handed to them during these last 7 years. None of them will wake up years from now wondering if they'l be able to afford healthcare, their medication; if they'l be homeless. I bet Anderson Cooper is in that category.

Clinton and Obama are so close now, the best and cheapest way to resove the Florida and Michigan delegate mess is to divide the delegates equally between the two. If there is an odd number of delegates in the state, use a coin toss. This plan has a total maximum cost of two bits, the cost of the flipped quarter to give you heads or tails.

Of course, what good is the nomination for Hillary, if Obama supporters don't vote in November? If she wins, her only chance is the Dream Ticket. This thread lays out how the VP should be selected:

So, she wants to ensure the Florida and Michigan voters aren't disenfranchised, while arguing the superdelegates shouldn't have to follow the wishes of their districts.

If we want to know the candidates, then Hillary has to release her tax returns. Now. So that voters in Pennsylvania have time to find out where the $5 million dollars came from that she was able to loan to her campaign. What is she hiding? What doesn't she want us to know before we vote? We need to know who a candidate owes big favors to before we choose him or her. (Hillary needs to release tax returns for all recent years, too, not just 2007.)

Thank God that others are finally getting it !!!
The media is selling the "controversies" betweent the only remaining candidates and viable primary. People are taking positions with such a ludicrous personal interest.
The flock is taking the every-second-coverage way too seriously. Relax, take a deep breath and get outside to spend time with family and friends. While you're taking a break from the 'big-company' media, take notice of Gas Prices, Electric Prices, the increasing price of simple grocery items, increased healthcare costs and decreased coverage. We are being slowly strangled.
We should all be outraged at the way we are being treated as US citizens. Our parents were able to take us to the eye doctor, dentist and doctor without breaking the bank. They had pensions and retirement security that no longer exists. These issues should unite everyday Americans. The words of a few supporters of these candidates should not distract us all.

I am trying to cut through all the media spin, the off-handed comments and the accusations and just focus on two people and their two resumes. Afterall, we are trying to hire someone to be the CEO of our country. Letting each vote in America count is part of that process and important. To ignore that bottom-line principle, would be ridiculous. We need someone with experience, someone with fortitude, intelligence and whom will work really, really hard for every American out there. For anyone to say that race and gender are not factors in this campaign or in the US is to be, well, out of touch. So, that said, how do we look at these two people fairly (without filters for race or gender) and pick the best candidate to beat McCain and win back the White house? Race is a factor, as is evident when prior to Senator Obama's arrival on the scene, African Americans, showed a strong support for Senator Clinton. Then, almost immediately, 80+% of African Americans threw their support behind a candidate with less experience, and did so why? Hmmm. Also, there are men who, when asked flat out if they would ever vote for a woman for President, say no. No reason, even if she had a better resume. So, that's gender bias. Ok, that said, we still need to cut through the clutter and the mud being flung by both sides and really figure out who we want to get things right and on track for our country. Just electing someone "likeable" who will "be a uniter not a divider" may just get us what we got last time someone said that (ie - Bush, for all you really young folks) - and is that worth the risk? Only each one of us can answer that for ourselves, after honestly researching the candidates' resumes. This decision and election is too important not to.

The Press did not emphasize and reminded all of us that the votes cast in Michigan and Florida are both fair.
It was the letter of the Party's rule and agreements that was violated, NOT the spirit and surely not the actual voting process.
It was in the intent of these folks THAT they be heard and that they matter. THAT IS DEMOCRACY in action. And now, by all the right reasons, their votes does matter!!!Wrong date of voting per Party, right election and processes.
WHY WON'T WE SEAT THEM????

"In fact, Clinton's name was the only one on the ballot in Michigan. This week, in an interview, Clinton called the result in that state "fair" and said it was Obama's choice to remove his name was "his decision."
How does she figure this is "fair"? Obama's "choice" was to honor the rules. Obviously voters familiar with the rules didn't bother to vote in a primary that wouldn't count. I guess she figures they don't matter. She doesn't set an example of someone I would want running this country.
Posted by: DD | March 16, 2008 11:03 AM
Funny how Senator Clinton told New Hampshire that it was "clear" to her that the Michigan primary wasn't going to count for anything, but now she is portraying her staying on the ballot as showing "commitment" to the voters of Michigan. In truth, she's afraid that if "uncommitted" got 40% in a fake primary with about half the normal participants that she'll lose in a real primary. The PA, FL, MI strategy won't work if she suffers a loss of any kind in MI on June 3. Of course, MI will just go back to being another state that "doesn't matter."

Democrats and Independents need to support Senator Clinton!

Is race going to ultimately harm Senator Obama's chances of winning the democratic nomination and ultimately the presidency should he win the nomination. I think the McCain camp and conservative talk radio will push the Obama pastor tie ad nauseam, severely an Obama nomination crippling/presidency. This is the first time Senator Obama will be compared side by side on the same pedestal as a confrontational black activist politicians like a Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton by many of the white voters who previously interpreted Senator Obama as not belonging to any particular race. While this incident is not necessarily the death of the Obama campaign, it is the most serious challenge to date that will only fester over time.

It all seems so far fetched and futile, no? But on a more practical level, Clinton has done well in the big bonanza states where primaries were held. Millions came out to vote in record numbers and she was able to claim victories, in spite of a very odd proportional allotment of delegates that doesn't sit well with many Democrats. Obama has excelled in the caucus process and in some of the big city districts, a combination of grass roots organization, a bottom up campaign that is mightily peppered with the enthusiastic youth vote, and a solid black vote in extraordinarily high percentages. He also has won quite a few "red" states, that despite those primary/caucus victories, will remain "red" in the general election. In spite of the 100 or so delegate votes that separate the two candidates, at this point in the process, the gap should be wider, the victories should be more decisive. The DNC needs to look closely at what is a faulty process (and that's putting it kindly if you consider the Texas two-step set up) and really return to a more practical process. Winner take all primaries, maybe held within one week after some months of heavy campaigning, might have given the party a better shot at unity by convention time. The press also factored into this bad tasting process by showing such open bias and unwillingness to give some stories national coverage until "Super Tuesday" had come and gone. There are voters angered by this and it doesn't help democracy's cause. Ever since the 2000 election, the tolerance for an "anything goes" approach has steadily grown. We have reduced ourselves to making fun of our candidates instead of seriously evaluating them. Even McCain's age, early 70s, in an era in which more and more people live to be old enough to be McCain's parents, even that is fair game in a very "in your face" way, instead of being material in some stand-up comedy club. Our worst emotions are being churned up, but if we take some time to cast a clear eye on what's happening, maybe we'll find there's just no heart in all of this.

While Hillary tries to talk about the issues, Obama is promising change. Obama and Michelle have been married for 16 years. Obama has known Rev. Wright for 20 years. If Obama is really an agent of change, why hasn't he been able to change the negative attitudes about America of just two of the people closest to him – Michelle and Rev. Wright?
I do not believe that Obama has never heard any of Rev. Wright's radical sermons. Many people have said they go to church and don't agree with everything their religious leader says. But those many people are not running for president and promising the American people that they will change the way our government operates and they will unite people of all races and religions.
Obama has known for years that he was going to run for president. He has been very open about his using Rev. Wright as a mentor and an adviser. It's impossible that Rev. Wright never expressed his negativism toward America during their "mentoring" sessions. In 2006, just two years ago, Obama wrote "The Audacity of Hope", a title that he lifted from one of Rev. Wright's sermons. The fact that Obama was so close to Rev. Wright and then uninvited him to speak on the day he announced his run for the presidency is proof that he wasn't willing to take a chance on what Rev. Wright might say.

What I do not understand is why people think because Senator Obama is a friend to Pastor Wright that Sen. Obama has control over what Pastor Wright says. Think back to other times pastors have done something wrong. What about Jim Baker and his wife? He married a lot of people, he was friends with many, but are those people responsible for what he did? No. And so Sen. Obama should not be held responsible for what Pastor Wright said. Pastor Wright is the only one responsible for that. So quit comparing the two. and about MI. Sen Obama was honoring the rules. Did Hilary know he would do that and figure she would put her name on the ballot because she knew he would do the honorable thing and not? Bad way of getting votes, don't you think? And with all the negative things happening that again Sen. Obama is being made the person who is supposed to be responsible for others actions...come on. Sen Obama is not God and he never said he was. Let Rezko and Wright take their own responsibility for what they have done.

Reverend J.A. Wright didn’t preach anything that college professors all over America haven't taught for decades. Ward Churchill ring any bells? On the other hand, Hillary Clinton has had entire books written about her “spiritual life,” and even founded her own college – at which Ward Churchill did speak – but neither she nor Bill Clinton ever attend church. Barack Obama puts forth that Rev. Wright and Ms. Ferraro’s ideologies were shaped by the 1960s – as, I might add, were both Clintons. Barack Obama threatens to drag the Democratic Party, kicking and screaming out of the early 1970s, and into the 21st Century. And, some don’t like it: http://theseedsof9-11.com

Enough is enough. Separation of church and state. Religion, spiritual leaders and church involvement in our political structure. End it now. Huckabee and his views from the pulpit on abortion and anti-gay rhetoric. Now the Rev. Wright and his bigoted hate speech. I am convinced that this so called "Uncle" has influenced the man over 20 years. Obama can't place his hand on his heart for the pledge, and his wife is just now proud to be an American. Let us all finally put the pieces of the Obama puzzle together, what this man and his family are truly about. They have their own self-serving agenda that does not involve the entire USA. At least when Hillary speaks, whether you like it or not, you know it's the facts. If Obama wins the nomination, I feel that if I vote for him in the election in November, I am condoning hate. If I stood in a public square speaking this hate and bigotry I would be put on trial for hate crimes. This kind of talk from Reverend “Uncle” is no different then hanging a noose from the schoolyard tree.

If anyone has been dividing up the democrats, or been more polarizing, it was Hillary. In the beginning, even before the primaries began, she was at the front, having more support from the superdelegates based merely on the fact that she was from NYS and her husband was Bill Clinton. She had this advantage without any real answers to questions regarding the economy, social security, or foreign relations. Oh, but she wants to socialize healthcare. Any one who has ever looked into Canadian healthcare will know that their healthcare system is on the verge of collapse. But, she still had the advantage.
However, after Obama took the reigns after super Tuesday and the first primaries, Hillary begin the personal attacks: attacks against his character, his senate history (which we all know is fruitless). Hillary, at one point, represented something new, partly because she was a woman, but also because she was strong and had the resume to prove it. However, after all of the campaigning and her lack of organization, voters realized she wasn't anything new. She represented the same democratic, Washington politics that we've grown to hate, the same LBJ politics of the past. She "saved" NY by selling out unions with insane trade deals, she voted for an illegal war, supported moving businesses over seas. She made these sacrifices to make her resume look better, not to make the country any better. She's lost passion, lost sight of the real goals, jobs, and spirit of the presidency.
She's the one that's polarized this entire thing, the one who has done more harm to the democrats that ever before in the history of the elections. Oh yeah, but Obama doesn't have the resume. His pastor (not Obama) is anti-American. And, not to mention, his last name sounds like Osama, and his middle name is Hussein. Obama represents something new because, amidst all the BS, he still has the passion, and I think he has enough of it to get all the way to the White House.

Judi - A lot of people are missing the point about Obama and Rev. Wright. Obama CHOSE Rev. Wright to be his mentor and adviser. What advice would the reverend possibly give to Obama on what steps he should take to unify races and religions when he isn't doing that himself?
Posted by: mafox1 | March 16, 2008 2:21 PM
Judi, I couldn't agree with you more. It never ceases to amaze me how people see what they want to see, and hear what they want to hear. Obama cannot be held responsible for what anyone else says. I think people are just using the pastor and Rezko situations to justify not supporting Obama. These people never intended to vote for him and now they have found a way to hide their bigotry behind the headlines.

Obama has the audicity to hope that Americans are dumb. That will we actually believe that he didn't know his friend and pastor for nearly a quarter century was a vile, raging, anti-American racist. There is no way Obama would hang with this guy for TWO DECADES if he didn't enjoy and agree with at least some of the disgusting teachings.
Equally appalling was Obama's fellow parishioners clapping, cheering and cavorting while Wright spews his hate. These are the people that Obama has CHOSEN to associate with for nearly a quarter century.

Judi has it exactly right.
Is George W Bush responsible for statements by prominent Republicans and pastors Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell who blamed 9/11 and Katrina on gays, liberals, etc. in the same way that Obama should be held accountable for what his pastor said?
The superdelegates would be wildly deluded if they think that overruling the vote (assuming Obama maintains the trifecta lead he currently holds) and installing Hillary Clinton as the nominee will a) lead to victory over John McCain or b) help downticket races with her coattails. As unfair as it is, Republicans DESPISE Hillary Clinton. They may be scared of Obama, but they know they hate Mrs. Clinton. She will motivate the rabid right in a way that John McCain never will.

There is no Clinton path to victory in any real sense of the word. There is quite simply no way she is going to win any of the upcoming primaries with enough of a margin to make a difference in pledged delegates.
I just don't understand why she doesn't get it. The only way she can actually get the nomination is to pull some pretty shady dealing, whereby she might get the nomination in spite of both a) the pledged delegates, nominally distributed in accordance with the rules of the game that she signed up to play, and b) the popular vote of those who made the effort to vote in the democratic primaries. How exactly is she going to maintain even the tiniest shred of legitimacy if that happens? At that point, here argument will be, plain and simple, "I know better than you."
Frankly, I don't think she does.

Now that the National Press is finally vetting Senator Obama, the tenor of this Primary Race will change. Senator Obama's central campaign themes- Change, that he is not part of any political machine, that words do matter- are in deep contrast to what is coming out about his close friend and Pastor, about his longtime friend and political fundraiser Tony Rezko, and what will come out soon about his 7 years in the Illinois State Senate.
Senator Clinton has a strong chance of getting very close to him on the pledged delegate count and overtaking him in the popular vote.
I don't think Senator Obama would win the general election against Senator McCain because whereas Senator Clinton has had to hold back for the benefit of the Party, McCain and the Republicans will not.

She went to Florida on January 27th, after the loss in South Carolina. While the events she attended were "private fundraisers," I don't think it would be proper to conclude that she didn't campaign there.

Please read Gregory Craig's article on Hillary's claims.
"When your entire campaign is based upon a claim of experience, it is important that you have evidence to support that claim. Hillary Clinton’s argument that she has passed “the Commander- in-Chief test” is simply not supported by her record."
Read the whole article at:
http://www.davidmixner.com/2008/03/respected-obama.html
It refutes fact by fact her claims of "experience."

So let me get this straight. Obama wants us to believe that after a 25 year relationship with Jeremiah Wright, he only this week discovered through the media that Wright was an anti-American radical?
If indeed this is the case, Obama clearly lacks the intelligence necessary to be the most powerful leader in the world. This guy is trouble.
Posted by: jason | March 16, 2008 4:26 PM
Intelligence and experience are not at issue. HRC has more than enough. She's fighting against prejudices of race and gender an impossible task. Despite all odds however, she is still standing tall trying to make people focus on the issues instead of the sweet but empty mantra of "change". That's resiliency, fortitude and character. That's the person I want as my president.

Man, the Clinton "campaign" is slowly becoming a circus act, day by day.
First she counted on Super Tuesday waaaay back in February to wrap up the nomination, but Obama made a huge unexpected comeback that helped him sweep all of February's races.
Then she tried to pull off an upset in Wisconsin, but failed.
Then she counted on Ohio and Texas, and she won Ohio, but not by any significant proportion, and she didn't win Texas, despite the media saying she did... now it's onto PA and now she's bringing up FA and MI again even though she AGREED that those states wouldn't count... she flip flops more than George W. Bush or John Kerry!!! And people want HER over Barack Obama as the Dem nominee?
Say what you want about Barack's race and religion, but that has NOTHING to do with this Presidential race, which is strictly about the issues and who is most fit to be the next President of the United States Of America. Hillary has just shown qualifications to be President of only the United Big States That Matter, she doesn't give a damn about what the American people want as a whole. And McBush is just George W. Bush III wanting a 100 Year War in Iraq, and he knows nothing outside of war, and..... war.
Barack Obama is the only candidate promising to work for ALL Americans, and his stances on the issues on his website are so specific, I myself wish that there was a more general list so I wouldn't have to read it all.... but that's great, because Barack is showing how much he is willing to get rid of the same politics as usual in Washington and bring Democrats, Republicans, and Independents working together as they should.

Obama (and some other Democrats) are the ones who are trying to change the rules in the middle of the game. If the superdelegates are required to simply vote for whoever is ahead in delegates, they serve no purpose -- they can't make a difference.
And "splitting the difference" in Florida and Michigan is "fair" only to Obama -- he'd be exactly as far ahead of Hillary as he is now. Yeah, I'll bet he thinks that's "fair." It would resolve nothing, and give him the free pass in delegates that he's been getting in news coverage all along.
The Obama campaign made a huge push in Michigan for his supporters to vote "uncomitted." The fact that 40% of the votes in Michigan were, in fact, "uncomitted," proves that. So I want to know... why is Obama afraid to have all the votes counted?
Posted by: Brian W. | March 16, 2008 4:41 PM
Let's get real - I want a person who can really kick ass. Obama is not the one. Besides, he has won his share thru caucus states fpr the most part with the help of republican and indep. votes. Just using the democratic votes, he loses big-time.

amazing--
is there an interest in facts on this board?
google your heart out -- but as a Florida I can factually tell you:
Sen Obama did not run ads in Florida prior to Jan 29th primary. He ad a two week ad buy on cable that ran from Jan 23- Feb 5th so on CNN and MSNBC in the southern region - incl Florida there were some commercials - since these ran past the Jan 29th date till Super Tuesday Feb 5th - it would be a pretty obvious waste of money if this was intended as a Florida campaign strategy
Sen Clinton DID campaign in Florida but did not really heat up until she ralized how trounced she was going to get in South Carolina (Sat Jan 26th)
She was here Jan 27th - I saw her with my own little eyes - and the Florida for Clintons - a 527 ran plenty of mailer and info
They also did a targeted anti semitic mailing to the older jewish voters down here (took me weeks to calm my mother down)
---
I am not from Michigan - but I can figure out pretty esily that if most of the serious candidates - Obama, Biden, Edwards, Richardson ALL removed their names from the Michigan ballot that seems to invalidate the election --
One more Florida FACT is that out of the 4.5 million people who voted for the property tax amendment to the Fl State Constitution on Jan 29th (which was the main reason for the large turnout) over 466,000 people did not bother to check off a candidate for President
And Florida and Michigan are the ONLY two early primary states that had a larger Republican turn out in the primary than Democratic turnout
With all the excitement the Democratic candidates have generated this year - does this ot give all you skeptics enough proof that many people in Michigan and Florida knew their votes were not going to be counted?
"we know Michigan's vote for not count for anything"

Personally, I want to know what qualifies Hillary Clinton to be the next president. Is it because she was married to the president? If that were the case then Robin Givens would be the heavyweight champion of the world.

I guess the Clintons' think that the poor black boy is going to sit back why they take the share of Fl and MI.
Well, the poor black boy went to Harvard, and he is not that dumb. He will not allow any re-vote, or give as votes. He will stand for split them down the middle.
Enough of Fox News Fair and Balanced policy. They all came out Friday to lambaste Barack, including an interview with Newt.

Clinton's path to victory.
1. Scorched earth policy
2. Divide the democratic party & the nation.
3. Win 70% or more in the remaining contests.
4. Revote in MI and FL
5. Don't release earmarks, tax returns, clinton donors, presidential records.
6. Keep race, religion, gender arguments in 24hr news cycle

"That Clinton stayed on the ballot, they said, showed her commitment to Michigan voters."
Ironically, the Detroit Free Press stated last week Obama removed his name from the Michigan ballot in protest.

I can't believe how easily Americans hand over thier rights. No one, not the democratic party leaders, not the President, not the state officials can take away my right to vote and have it counted! I am a Florida resident and I voted and it should be counted. Last I heard we lived in a democracy.
Posted by: Miche Criste | March 16, 2008 7:22 PM
The only fair way is to either keep the vote as was originally in Florida and Michigan or totally re-do the primaries. Dividing the delegates gives Obama the advantage since Clinton will win both states. That will give her the lead in the popular vote which is why I believe Obama's position is as it is....he doesn't want a re-vote. Obama, in my opinion is afraid of a re-vote..

We've had an explosive situation arise with Obama's "agenda" for America via his spiritual advisor, Jeremiah Wright, and, like it or not, it's not going away. The media and anyone else can say whatever they'd like to try to defend this "candidate," now, but Obama is going to have to get out of the race for the good of our country. We're all certain that evidence will be found contradicting Obama's lies about never hearing any of the incendiary sermons.
"STEP AWAY FROM THE RACE, OBAMA!!!"
As we now post, Obama is trying to throttle up his attacks against Hillary Clinton to deflect attention from his relationship with his pastor. Besides the blogs, let the media outlets know how you feel!
Posted by: patricia | March 16, 2008 8:34 PM
The issue with Obama now becomes trust. Can we still trust what he says is actually what he believes? Especially considering his message of unity is so different from his mentor, Rev. Wright's message of separatism.

I voted for Obama in the primary, but it now gives me the creeps to see the church vidoes. I don't want my president attending that kind of church. I feel like a fool...
He'll never win now.
Posted by: Ed | March 16, 2008 8:51 PM
Ed, I couldn't agree with you more. If this is the hope and change Obama is talking about, I personally want no part of it. Obama said he wants to be up front with the American people, but its funny that he knew about the pastors comments and he hoped it would just go away. Sounds hypocritical to me. This is not hope and change, its more of the same. Obama is a typical Politician, and I hope the Super delegates really think hard about who they support now. I believe with all my heart that if Obama gets the Nomination, McCain will be our next President.
Posted by: PB | March 16, 2008 11:03 PM
I think it is wrong and not fair to link Sen. Obama with the pastor's speech. It wasn't as if the pastor was quoting a speech from senator obama or were we told either that the senator wrote the speech for him.
Much as one would agree that those phrases are inflamatory, at the same time Sen. Obama should not be blamed or made to pay the price for those comments.
These are all calculated malicious attempts to bring senator obama's character to disrepute but the news for these detractors (both hilary and john mccain's campaigns) is that IT WILL NOT WORK. The American people are wiser now. They know better. Many of them are educated enough to know what to believe and understand.

I read an article over the Internet that Obama has gained delegates in Iowa, This is unbelievable that people are still supporting this guy who his been associated with an known racist for over 20yrs, What is wrong with people, this really blows my mind.
I'm an African American male who believes that Obama should be sat down, and no longer a Presidential candidate, you mean to tell me that know matter what Obama is or was involved in the past doesn't matter to you just as long as a Black man becomes President, where is our values and morals headed in this country?
Obama should be a past presence in the campaign, but instead he's still winning? Obama does not have a campaign this is an occult, for example, people who are a member of an occult can't seem to break a way from it's leader even if they wanted to, because the leader have some kind of satanic strong-hold on their minds, where they could not disband from them, this reminds me of the Obama campaign, his followers are so mesmerized and hypnotized by this mans speeches that they can no longer make sound, rationale, informed judgments, or decisions whether their leader are right or wrong in his or her thinking processes, this is very scary to me.
This also is how Jim Jones of the Jonestown Massacre was able to get his followers to drink tainted kool-aid that eventually lead to their deaths by the thousands. Obama seem to have some kind of satanic mind control over his followers, because these people are still willing to vote Obama by the droves no matter what his twisted beliefs are.
Those of us with sound minds need to continue writing and calling the DNC Chairman Howard Dean and all the media outlets to get them to pressure Obama to quit his campaign, because he is not going to do it on his own unless he's under tremendous political and personal pressure to do so. People with sounds minds, please do not send anymore financial support to Obama's campaign, attend his rallies, or vote for him anymore throughout the rest of these primaries, a clear and strong message needs to be sent to everyone that American's, who are in their right frame of mind will not in any way tolerate a candidate who has sat under a racist and bigoted Pastor's teaching for over 20yrs, and did not get up and leave the church or dis-banded his relationship with that pastor in all capacities.
I see that many of us Americans who are in their right frame of minds, need to think and make decisions for those who are not, due to being stung by the Obama bee. We must now strongly cry out loud and spare not, in order to help the media and the DNC do its job and the thing right in order to save our party and America, by having Obama to quit this campaign and go back to Chicago Ill with his friend Oprah Winfery.
By the way, I would like to find out whether Oprah attended this church off and on through the years as well? this will also help explain Why Oprah all of a sudden come out and endorse this man because he was black, Oprah may also be one of or a former member of Pastor J Wright’s Church.

Can not compare,,, John McCain,, the minister he know just gave him Money,,he does not Go to his church,,, He did not Baptise john McCain kids,,, he is not on John McCain Campaign,, Just gave John McCain money,,, to compare him with Jeremiah Wright is something the Media, and the Obama Camapaign,, doing,,Barack Obama Has a Racist man who worked on his Campaign,, Jeremiah Wright, ,, who helped Barack with the title of his book,,, who baptise his kids, Barack Obama Miinister, gave Louis Farrahkan life time achievement award, ,,, Barack Obama who went to this Racist mans church,,, for 20 years,
Whats even sad is Barack Obama, followers don’t even Care, He can run over a person right now ,,, and people will still follow him,,, but one thing is for certain Barack no matter what, just lost this election,,, even if he wins the primary,,, from Hilary,,, Barack can not win a big state, Hilary followers will not back Barack Obama,,, just like if Hilary wins the primary,,, Barack Obama followers will not back Hilary ,,,,,

Darrell,
Why on Earth would Barrack Obama QUIT the campaign when he is LEADING it in every appreciable way? Don't you think that would be a significant slap in the face to the 13 million plus voters who support him (Hillary has received just over 12 million votes).
Posted by: Jones | March 17, 2008 9:45 AM
Darrell, please, you clearly don't sound as if you are a black man so the little idenitifcation at the front of that post is so transparent. Second, I have no doubt that Obama doesn't support the ministers preaching because how could he hate what he is. .Obama is just as much white as he is black people. that would be like him saying he haed his mother. Plus, his WHITE grnadparents helped raise him. Think America--THINK. America is so twisted sometimes.

Michigan and Florida should be DO Overs at this point due to the fact that no on can obtain the demanded delegates at this point. It is an unfair thing that both candidates were not listed, but also unfair that the Dem National Committee told these states NOT to move up their primaries and Florida's Republican governor did it anyway. Both state have had their voices taken away TWO times and the voters are paying for it. NO ONE can obtain the number required without these 2 states. SuperDelegates should be able to vote for whom they deem worthy. otherwise, they should have just added more delegates to those states, instead of independent thinkers. Mr. Kerry and Mr. Kennedy (Obama endorsers) won't be voting with the rest of Massachusetts, so why should any other superdelegate?

The Clinton campaign is playing games with the media. It begins with the fake handshake at the Texas debate, complaining about unfair coverage, filtered cameras to make Senator Clinton look younger against Obama. This race was won fair and square by Obama. Instead of listening to Senator Clinton's camp look at state election results. She has not done well against Obama even in Florida. The media forgets there were other candidates including John Edwards that the votes were distributed to. Obama didn't bad against her in Florida. She didn't do well against herself in Michigan. Since I became of age to vote I voted without knowing about a caucus, or that "big states" are taken more seriously than others. The Presidential Preference nomination should go to Obama. People are not registering to vote, and lining up at a caucus for Hillary Clinton. If the Clinton camp dishonestly gets the nomination they will have all the voters Obama brought out.

This African American male is voting for Hillary because I believeshe has the most experience to do the job, I'm not looking at her asbeing a White Woman as oppose to my fellow Black Brothers and Sistersare voting for Obama just because he's Black, this is wrong and irresponsible.
I see my race of people have no sense of loyality andcan't be depended on when needed,Bill Clinton has done a lot for theAfrican American communtiy while in office, but now that his wife istrying to make things better for us as well, what do we do? we jumpship like the traitors we always seem to be and vote for anotherBlack person who just came on the national scene 3 yrs ago,who hasvery liitle experience and qualifications at the national level to bePresident, as oppose to Hillary, who have been around for over 35yrs.
It seems like to me, some of my race of people don't require thattheir leaders meet the same qualificans and experience to do the job;all they have to be is the right color for them to be voted into thevery high important position. Well, I have news for you, my standardsare higher than that, if I vote for a Black person to be in office, Iwant him or her to be just as experienced and qualified to do thejob as a White person, who's running for the same office. I'm justnot going to vote for a person just because he has the same skincolor I do, I call that being prejudice and racist.
I would Like make it very clear again, many of my race of people haveno sense of loyality or stick-to-itness, We cant't depended on incrunch times,if there's such a word' Hillary thought she had theBlack vote, she thought we appricated what her husband did for ourcommunity in the past and vote for her to finish the job as well, but instead, if we as a race of people think the grass is greener on theother side, we are quick to run over to it without wieghing orcounting up the cost in the long-term.
In my Opinion, Obama should not ever be President and he should sitdown on his own, or be shut down by the DNC, he can not be trusted in many areas of performing his duties as President, and Race or gender should not ever be present in any way when making an informed and responsible decision on who's the most experienced and qualified Presidential candidate that is able to effectively and efficently torun this country on "Day One" of entering the Oval Office, it's no time no for "On The Job Training" or leaving it up to his her advisors to make very important decisions, the President must beready and equipped to do that once sworn into office, and if it so happens to be a White woman or man, that's fine with me, and if it so happen to be a Black man or woman that's fine with me as well, but so happens this time, it a White woman who I think is most Presidential to get the job done, so, I decided to the white woman, Hillary Clinton.
