Forget the "dream team,'' the speaker of the House says.
At least the one with Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
"I think it’s impossible,'' House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said today.
"I do think we'll have a dream team,'' she added. "It just won't be those two names.''
The speaker, offering her opinion at a press conference, was pressed to explain. "You asked my political opinion,'' she said. "I gave it to you.
"I just don’t think it’s going to happen,'' said Pelosi, averting a fuller explanation. "You want me to go through a lifetime of political gut to tell you?
"“Take it from me, that won’t be the ticket.’’

At least Nancy's being honest about it.

Hey Nance, can you sort of discourage that whole John Edwards guy, too? That man's hair will turn off the entire sun belt.

I wonder if the Republic Party is still considering a McCain/Magee ticket for this fall?

The last Democrats' "dream ticket" of the two top finishers didn't work out too well for the winner.

I think a dream ticket of Obama and Bill Richardson can work. That can put Arizona, New Mexico and Texas into play and Obama will also have a VP with foreign policy experience.

One cannot be an effective president if she only carries the sentiment of the people which is just 1 side of governance. The president should also carry the realities and party values of those who serve the nation with her. If Pelosi thinks only one side matters. She's just being plain politician.

Certainly this dream ticket isn't going to happen. O is effectively finished. Any thinking person KNOWS that obama knew ALL about wright throughout these 20 years of their close association. thinking people also know that obama supported the church and its views, as demonstrated by his 20 year membership, his 2000 a month contributions, his having wright marry him and baptize his kids, crediting wright as the inspiration for his book, and taking his kids to hear the hate speech sermons. and no matter what he says now, 20 years don't just disappear.
