Come on, Clinton people, choose one of the following:
•There's nothing there, but she prefers to create the appearance of a scandal.

•She's running for president because she wants to live a quiet life out of the public eye.

"The reality is that she wants to keep this information hidden from voters."

Another reality is that Obama wants to keep any information about him and Rezko away from the voters.

Dear Barack,

You're a sports fan, so you'll understand this analogy: playing prevent defense when you're ahead is playing not to lose as opposed to playing to win--and as you know, many teams have lost their lead by this timid strategy. We need you to finish what you started in the way that you started. So please consider the following:

1. Start inspiring us again. Hillary looks silly and curmudgeonly when she mocks the power of words and speeches and the power of a movement. Lately, you've seemed to want to prove that you can out wonk her, so as to prove that you're more than speeches--but the millions that have been voting for you know that you are. We're not that blind. We want change, and we believe that you can help administer this change by offering power back to the people. So stop trying to prove that you're more than speeches because that's just reacting to Hillary's desperation. Do not allow it to work. She'd love to make you an uninspiring wonkette. As a former academic, there's a big difference between KNOWLEDGE in one's specialties in the Ivory Tower and the WISDOM of sound judgment (applied knowledge) in the real world.

2. Defend us! Do not let Hillary off the hook when she mocks millions and millions of your voters by portraying us as delusional and starry-eyed. She's not just trying to have a laugh; she's trying to make us seem like idiots for believing in you. Defend us! Tell her to stop insulting democratic voters. Tell her it's offensive. Tell her she can attack you, but to stop attacking those voters that support her party. Tell the world that the difference between you and her is that you continue to respect her voters by stating that she's a solid candidate and welcoming their participation, while she consistently dismisses and discredits every person and state that does not vote for her. That's a big difference between the two of you and its telling. Her politics is petulant and juvenile--and you should stop helping her get away with it by calling it a good joke. We vote for you BECAUSE we're thoughtful and critical about our world, BECAUSE we're not so easily duped by the Clinton machine, BECAUSE we're tired of high school politics--so tell her enough is enough, BECAUSE she's not insulting you but the American people who are not on her side (which has always been her M.O.)

3. No need to play dirty, but it's okay to question her great claim of experience, especially if that's her primary argument for being the next President (I see that you're beginning to do just that). Experience is fine, but what kind of experience? For example, experience in corporate law or on the Wal-Mart board or on international tours with Sinbad and Sheryl Crow or in political divisiveness--is not experience we can believe in. Rather it's the kind of EXPERIENCE we can't believe in. In other words, it's not experience that matters; it's the kind of experience that matters. That's difference is what will allow you to challenge both Clinton and McCain. The kind of experience that Lincoln had (similar to your own experience) was more important than the kind of experience that Bush had (most significantly, a direct relation to a former President a la Hillary). So what is the real substance of her experience?

So, Barack, please continue to play to win, regardless if you're the underdog or frontrunner. Do what you do best: Lead, Inspire, and Defend WE, the People.

There are bigger things to tackle right now, including that Ohio has a history of voter fraud. Hillary's smug confidence that she was going to win "big time" in Ohio occurred just 48 hours before the primaries. DId she have some insider information about something?? Check out the book, 'What Happened in Ohio: A documentary Record of Theft and Fraud in the 2004 Election," by Bob Fitrakis and Steve Rosenfeld. The 2008 election is dubious because of complaints of ballot shortages, voters sent to defunct voting sites, sounds like disenfranchisement to me...

Can we get some coverage in the tribune of the fact that a lot of hillary votes in texas came from republicans trying to prolong the democratic primary? Rush Limbaugh specifically called on people to do this and I have seen coverage of it in blogs, but not here.

The tax returns are relevant since they will reveal the Clinton's source of income, which is rumored to include a $20 million interest in several Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds. For a candidate who has condoned the innuendo that Obama is a Muslim (as if that makes a difference), it could be embarrassing.

The American people have Questions for you. Why if Rezko is $50 million in debt how did he afford to buy that lot? Why did Rezko 3 week before you purchased your house did Rezko get a loan for 3.5 million from Mr, Auchi? Then you and Rezko took a friendly walk though. How is it a big politician like you from Chicago doesn't know that there are corruption problems, you don't live in a cave.

Then why won't he talk to the press? Reporters from the both the Trib and SunTimes have been asking him for interviews for months now to clear up the Rezko matter. he refuses.

Can you name SPECIFIC instances where she dictated and drove a policy change that actually happened? Where she took a leadership role?

I asked this earlier and all I got back was whining about Rezko. Typical Hillary Clinton supporter approach: When asked anything about your candidate not about her gender or something she can play the victim card on, you have nothing to say so you change the subject.

I do find it mighty curious that Hillary is stonewalling on this information. Her personal loan of $5 million to her campaign makes it fair game as it raises questions about just where the Clintons' recently acquired wealth is coming from. We were told that they left the White House virtually broke and saddled with millions of dollars in legal bills from the Whitewater and Monicagate affairs. Now, just 8 years later, their personal fortune is estimated at somewhere between $20 million to $50 million---eyebrow-raising figures, considering she's been a fulltime Senator and he's been running a foundation since he left office. Of course, the Clintons have shown remarkable business acumen in the past, like the spectacular profits Hillary made on cattle futures trading which netted $100,000 on a $1,000 investment in a 10-month period while she was First Lady of Arkansas. So maybe they're just financial Merlins. Still, I think the public has a right to know just how many payrolls Bill is on, and whose, and for what services rendered, to bring in that kind of sudden wealth, at least to the extent those funds may be going to support her presidential campaign.

I'm pretty sur we've pretty much gone as far we go in regards to the Rezko-Obama relationship. What more is he supposed to come clean about? I dn't get it. He began a relationship and accepted donation from someone who at first seemed quite average, or even better (a developer trying to find a way to make som emoney off the affordable housing iniatives and incentives - there are plenty of them). However Rezko shadiness began to come out. Though Obama did NO favors for him. His campaigns received about $150K from Rexzo and friends, which was returned long ago. Any person with real knowledge about real estate knows that the real estate thing was nothing out of ordinary. No special prices and nothing about Obamas part of deal to indicate anything out of the ordinary - even after the press has seen all the documents relating to the transaction.

Keep trying to find something "more" about the Obama-Rezko connection. You won;t find anything, its all already out there. Other pols might get snagged, but Obama's involment si what it is - and its what everyone already knows it is - not all that much.

Odd how Clinton brings up "NAFTA-gate" when her first co-presidency had quite a few "gates" of its own, such as Travelgate, Whitewatergate, nannygate, Vince Fostergate, to name a few. She has something to hide in her tax returns, which is Bill's Middle Eastern income. Clinton showed nasty campaigning works. It's time for Obama to get really nasty. Clinton's gotten away with favorable media treatment too long. The fact that Hillary's supporters think she can beat McCain in a general election is more evidence that the Establishment Democrats are... well, politically stupid. A vote for Hillary at this point is a vote for John McCain.

Hillary can't use her 'experience' since McCain has more, she can't use the Iraq war since he's been consistent and she's flip-flopped, she can't claim McCain's too inside because she's more entrenched than he is, she can't use the amnesty argument because she supported the bill too, she can't call him a Bush lapdog because he built a career as a rebel Republican, she can't say he has too big a temper because of her "F---n jew bastards," line and other racist mumblings over the years, she can't even claim foreign policy experience over McCain because of her now-famous "medvedevev, whatever" flap. And once McCain takes Lieberman as his veep, Hillary can't even use the "let's make history" argument (again, the " I hate F___in Jew bastards" line will haunt her here).

On what grounds could any rational thinking person believe that the most hated official in the Democratic party could beat the most universally appealing man that the Republicans have to offer?

Which brings me back to my original point: Political stupidity plagues the elder Democratic base, and it has since Kennedy died... Between the miserably failed Johnson presidency, 1968's disastrous convention, Hart's "Monkey Business," Mondale's "I will raise taxes," Dukakis' nomination over more popular candidates, Gore's failure to campaign in his own home state, Kerry's "I voted for the war before I voted against it." These are all the result of establishment Democratic planning at its best. Sad sad sad, when compared to Republican strategies.

Before you Hillary supporters get indignant, remember that the only two Democrats to hold presidential office in the last 40 years, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, were the charismatic, UNPLANNED mistakes. They were outsiders. George McGovern, Tom Daschle, Dick Gephardt, Joe Biden, and Paul Tsongas having QUITE the problem with the walking liability known as Bill Clinton and the Peanut farmer from Georgia.

That means the Clintons have to win about 60% of the pledge delgates left. I do not see that happening.

Mr. Dorning, I would just like to make a small correction to your article in which you say Clinton had two big wins yesterday. Winning Texas by itself means nothing, and as the caucus count now stands, Barack Obama will really win the delegate count in Texas.

He should attack her on the multitude of issues that she is vulnerable to.

Hillary is still behind in pledged delegates and popular votes. And, the Super Delegates know now that supporting her will be career suicide once the damage to the DNC and Democratic party results from such a measure. Obama needs to realize that he can't play nice and be the gentleman this time. He's got to come out swinging and beat her like a rented mule every round until the end of this fight. She's not going to just roll up and go away when there are so many Rove-esque tricks left to play.

Face it, she's not as pure as the driven snow unless Satan is doing the driving. For all her casting of aspersion on Obama's legitimacy and fitness to hold the Office, she has proven through the years to be so much more corrupt than he is. Remind her that when it came time to place all their assets in blind trust, Vince Foster was having a considerable amount of trouble reconciling the Clintons' claim of poverty to their real assets.

Also note that Hillary's fingerprints were found on key evidence connected to Vince Foster's death.

You might want to inform the selfrighteous one that Obama's connection to Tony Rezko pales in comparison to her Whitewater scandal. We're talking bank scams, drug cartels, Norriega, Capcom, BCCI, media intimidation, and the funding of death squad training in cahoots with Poppy41, whom Bill42 conveniently exonerated of any wrongdoing just by virtue of never investigating Iran-Contra.

First of all Obama has been in the senate for three year, this one being his fourth, just two years less then senator Clinton. She has far less legislative experience than Senator Obama, He was in the Illinois state legislature. He has over 20 years of political experience. The only type of experience she has is rubbing elbows with the same washington politicians that have put us in the predicament that we are in now in. So if that is what you want running the country then please keep pushing the lies that he hasn't won any big States (Illinois, Washington, Washington D.C and many more). When asked about her tax returns by Tim Russert, HRC's body language spoke volumes. She was clearly not comfortable about discussing her personal finances and it was a relevant question due to her loaning her campaign 5 million. One could argue that her poorly managed campaign would have been finished weeks ago without that kick start from the Clinton bank account. If she can't supervise her own campaign, why should anyone trust her with our tax money?

If you saw the Clinton’s tax returns, what it would prove is that as a couple they can make more money than you. Shouldn't we have someone in power that knows how to make money and hire a good CPA firm to do her return? I am a CPA. It is the job of a CPA to know the tax law, apply it to your client’s return, and to advice your client on how to reduce your tax by making certain investments. If your CPA does not do that for you then she or he is not doing their job. Obama, did you not hire a competent financial advisor or CPA? It appears as if Hillary would be able to choose more qualified cabinet members than you would. Seriously, Obama you are actually thinking of calling Hillary out for hiring a CPA to do their job? As for the time it would take Hillary to go over her return it would be extensive. I’m sure her return is more complicated than most. Even simple returns most clients don’t understand. They take it on faith that their CPA did it correctly. If the CPA missed income or took deductions that they shouldn’t have, the IRS would contact the CPA for it to be corrected and for additional payment to be made. Since the IRS didn’t kick back the Clinton tax return that obviously must not have happened. Hillary Clinton is accurate in stating that it would take time to go over her tax return before revealing it. Last time I checked she was busy running a presidential campaign against you!! To reiterate she is not the person who put the return together, their CPA did. Let me state again, anyone that would hold it against her for being able to make more money compared to you is a knuckle head; that is one of the many reasons to vote for her over you! As for charity, President Bill Clinton, has raised more money for charity than any other past president. Bill and Hillary have done more to help charitable causes than you or your wife. Please give this country a break and do what is best for our country; vote for Hillary Clinton. As for the inspiring thing, if I wanted a cheerleader for president, I'd vote for just that. Hillary inspires confidence of change; she has actually enacted positive change her entire career. Obama, you have given us words, but not one example of positive change that you were personally responsible for bringing to our state or country. Unfortunately, although nice of you to have done, being a community organizer doesn't come close to the positive change this country is calling for in a president. It needs to be large scale experience. Voting for you over Hillary would be similar to hiring the intern as opposed to the Chief Financial Officer to be Chief Executive Officer.

Over the weekend, Chicago lifted itself to the top of a tax dishonor roll: The city's cumulative sales-tax rate is now the steepest of any major metropolitan area in America, at 10.25%. That blows past the former valedictorian, Memphis (9.25%), as well as New Orleans (9%), Denver (8.6%), and even New York and Los Angeles. Congratulations.

After five months of budget skirmishing, the Cook County Board of Commissioners approved the new sales tax, to 1.75% from .75%, by a single vote. That's on top of Illinois's 6.25%, municipal Chicago's 1.25%, and a 1% transportation sales tax for Cook and the collar counties that takes effect later this year.

This is only the latest in a succession of Chicago tax increases: a November 2007 "fee increase" of some $270 million, a January 2008 real estate tax totaling $530 million, not to mention Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich's $717 million in proposed tax increases statewide. Supposedly the deal -- Board President Todd Stroger was pushing for an increase twice as high -- will reduce the county's $234 million deficit.

Not so coincidentally, the $426 million that the county optimistically expects to collect each year will also fund somewhere between 700 or 800 new patronage jobs, and maybe more, which were lobbied for by the public-employees unions. A scathing report from a federal court monitor, released Friday, depicts rampant abuse in county hiring practices. Laurence Msall, president of the nonpartisan Chicago Civic Federation, argues that the county already spends its $3 billion budget irresponsibly, pointing to more than $100 million in possible reforms.

Mr. Msall notes dryly that the county is "not only refusing to tighten its belt, it's acting as if it doesn't have to wear a belt." Then again, it'd be business as unusual if patronage were somehow extracted from Chicago's machine politics. Too bad for the city's actual businesses and residents.

Enough of the tired REZKO mess. At least Senator Obama isn't guilty of invading a country and having the BLOOD of 1000s on his hands and he's not advocating staying in Iraq (financed by borrowed money from CHINA) AND HIS wife WASN'T impeached!!!
