The Bob Barr juggernaut won't stop.
The former Republican member of the House of Representatives from Georgia, a man known for his love of partisan combat, apparently doesn't like life outside the arena.
So Barr, as careful Swamp readers will know, is running for president. Really. Most likely as a Libertarian.
He apparently has money to commission his own polling and released a survey on Friday indicating that he has the support of a whopping 7 percent of voters in Pennsylvania, which holds its presidential primary on April 22.
Barr's supporters helpfully note that his seven percent is the rough equivalent to the support that Ross Perot had when he announced he was re-entering the presidential race in October of 1992.
Conveniently left out of the release is the fact that Perot had tens of millions of dollars to lavish on his campaign and Barr does not.
And, get this, the poll showed that almost 36 percent of those surveyed actually know who Barr is, particularly when they were reminded about his role in the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.
The Libertarian Party candidate will be selected at its national convention in Denver in late May.

Yes, the trib uses Schrub phrases--showing that it's the same republican rag that opposed integration in Chicago, and now supports the Democratic party candidate that will LOSE us the election against the Repugs in the fall.

It's 8 years too son for Obama to be on the top of the ticket. With Bill Clinton's help, the junior senator won't be a liability as the veep. But he desperately needs the clinton's tutelage.
Stop pretending you're doing anything but take all that good corporate bundled cash Obama raised to line your pockets.
8 years from now, 20 million cheeseburgers and fries from now, the 3rd generation of southern dems LJB knew he'd lose by signing the civil rights act will be dead, disabled, but not voting or carrying on so much.
However, with the support of the Clintons, we can smooth over the racism of Rev. Wright. It is appalling that the Chicago media has been cowed on this issue, but not surprising given the Emil Jones gravy train free ride Obama had into the U of C position, the Rezko funding into the state legislature and the Senate.
So, don't pretend you're liberal with the bashing of Bob Barr--that's too easy.
