The candidates for president have spent some time on the late-night talk and comedy show circuit this season.
But they don't often cross paths.
They crossed on the Colbert Report last night -- where Sen. Hillary Clinton played techno-geek and saved the show from a technological breakdown -- "call me anytime,'' Clinton offered. "Call me at 3 am'' -- and where Sen. Barack Obama made an unannounced, larger than life, appearance from the campaign trail -- with a bit of a complaint about the "manufactured distractions'' in the campaign.
Speaking for the news media, Comedy Central's Colbert suggested, "we are not tired'' of the distractions.
So, just five days from the Pennsylvania primary, the question for this morning's debate is: Who was funnier?

By far, John Edwards was the funniest. I am sure either candidate will be happy to buy him as many Jet Skis as he needs.
Hillary looked stiff and wooden, I thought. No flair.
Barack did the best of the two.

3:00AM. Was that a terrorist attack?
No, Mr. President, just an earthquake. Go back to bed.

John Edwards, but he had the Colbert writers behind him, but his delivery was great.
Obama came in second, but no jokes, just the fact that he got to be the in guest: Grizzly Bears are our biggest threat, and football quarterback Brady is not on notice.
Clinton looked 'out of her element', but she is quite the showman. She really does good on stage. She still wins points for showing up. I'm not a fan, but she is a hard campaigner.

I thought the Edwords stuff from John Edwards was the funniest.

I LOVED Hillary Clinton! I laughed out loud and thought she did very well. She was far from wooden. I think Susan was expecting wooden so didn't really see Clinton. I thought the jokes were better. I, unfortunately, thought that Obama's message was better presented. Not funnier, but just a better message. Clinton's message was jokes on her old stuff. She can solve problems (very important) and she will get up at 3am (still great). Nothing new. Obama's was about recent issues he has brought up, which I thought was betterf or his campaign.
