Montana’s Big Sky is “a little bluer’’ today, NBC Nightly News reports tonight.

“This is some pretty country out here,’’ said Barack Obama, leading in the polls in Montana and campaigning there today.

There are just 17 pledged delegates at stake there, in one of the last two states holding Democratic primaries, on June 3. And there are nine superdelegates.

“One thing I hope you know about me is that I don’t quit,’’ Hillary Clinton told a Montana audience. “I don’t quit on you, and I don’t quit on us.’’

The stakes have turned out Democrats in droves. Montana’s annual Democratic Party dinner, normally a draw for about 600 people, is expecting 4,000 tonight.

“We may have to come back to Missoula,’’ Obama told a crowd, “No doubt about it.’’

Obama will have a chance to set the record straight when he returns. According to wire reports from the state party dinner, Obama said: "Some people have been saying these caucus states out west don't count that much. I don't know about you, but I think they're pretty important. And I'm tired of people saying that some states don't count. I think every state counts."

(Problem is, Montana had a caucus for the Republicans and Mitt Romney won with Ron Paul second. But for Obama's party, it's a primary election. On June 3. Hopefully, he'll get some sleep before then.)

As an Obama supporter I want Hillary to stay in this race until the very end and I want a re-vote in Michigan and Florida because I want her to be defeated soundly. I don't want to hear her crying about how she was robbed of her inevitable right to be crowned the Dem nominee.

I understand where "m" is coming from, but I disagree.

As W made us look like fools in the world community, HRC is doing the same. These new reports about Mark Penn and Hillary's "woman and child who died because they didn't have $100" story are way over the top, and it needs to come to an end.

I am working hard here in PA, canvassing, calling, getting out the vote for Obama. More than half the people I canvassed today are supporting or leaning toward Obama.

I am starting to think he could actually win here, which makes me work harder, so we can end this pathetic campaign of Hillary Clinton in April.

Since Hillary is in Montana this evening, please be prepared for her to tell a fishing story!

Well, she's not going to quit and she's not going to lose in PA. Maybe Montana, but not PA.

And that's about the size of it: Unpopulated states to Obama, populated states to Clinton. Undemocratic caucuses to Obama, democratic primaries to Clinton.

Give it up, moonbeamers!!

Obama is leading in delegates, and in states, and in caucuses, and in popular vote. Hillary won Ohio, but lost Texas. She lost in Texas.

He is going to overtake her in PA, and Montana, and in NC. It is over, Hillary!

Uh, yeah, Hillary, I think we get it. You don't quit. Just like "Baghdad Bob".

You're probably going to have to be dragged away in a straightjacket.

Better check your facts gyrene obama has also won more primaries. CLinton knew about the caususes at the beginning of the race she thought the nomination owed to her it isn't!! She did not htink she had to do anything in those states with caucuses.

Another lie has come out that hillary is claiming as truth. oh how the poor woman needed 100 bucks in ohio did not have then up and died BULL

All she says is bull

WILL MARK PENN BE THE NEW KARL ROVE!!

CLONTONS HAVE THEIR HANDS IN TOO MUCH OVER SEAS BUSINESS WHICH IS NOT GOOD!!!!

Her charity donations except for 2 million went to her own foundation!!!!

What an egomaniac Hillary is! She'll take down the Democrats for this election and we'll have another 4 years of psuedo-Bush.

We Know we know, Hillary you're just more stubborn divisive Bush who just can't wait to litigate. Nice job on ripping on the Democrats. The world is laughing at your lies. Obama can beat McCain and get back our global respect , Hillary, you don't have a prayer.

Hillary is the smartest and strongest candidate.

Nice to see that Bill Clinton is making $ since he created an economy that lifted so many of us higher.

22 million jobs, peace, respect around the world and a budget SURPLUS.

Plus, the greatest frst lady in our history.

Thanks Bill....

Sure seems like you Obamanites woud get tired of just the pretty face and glorious ,meaningless RHETORIC now befor it is too late...You think 4 more years of pseudo Bush would be a problem!!..Wait til you get him in office with all his not so clean friends and 20 years of hate the whites drilled in his psyche...How will the Country run then???..NEVER FOLLOW ANYONE BLINDLY!!..

Liar Liar Pantsuit on fire!

Clinton gets busted for lying.....again

I see the Obama supporters are "deflecting" again.

Seems to me that black america has had since 1968 to vote. Maybe the country would have benefited from that participation??? So now that we have a black candidate we participate in the election process??

Clearly, Hillary for 8 years, followed by an experienced Barack for another 8 years is the way to go. But, rather than acknowledge this, we go forward with an obviously racist agenda (promoted by Carl Rove et al...) that makes a Democratic Presidency less than a shoe-in!

Only the Democrats could lose this election, and it looks entirely likely!

As I predicted in the 2004 election......be happy with your results!

I want her to stay in too. And give her Michigan and Florida. And let her fight on. I want to see her campaign DIE. I want her candidacy DEAD.

No excuses. No plausable protests. Undeniable DEATH as a candidate.

If she insists on making a fool of herself, of surrendering all self respect, all the better.

She has shown herself to be dishonest, unprincipled, unfit to unite Americans. Fortunately her opponent in the primary is smarter, better organized, and tougher than she and her husband are. And he is an honorable man.

The Clinton administration had ZERO to do with the economic prosperity we enjoyed during Bill's 8 years of blowjobs in the White House.
Don't get me wrong, I give the man props for pulling the wool over the eyes of his cluless wife, but just a bit of research would show that a country's economy does not see the effects of its economic mandates for 6-10 years. The economic surplus we enjoyed was layed out by the elder Bush's regime. The recession we now suffer through IS THE PRODUCT of the Clinton administration. Thank you NAFTA!!!!! Brilliant......
Billary Clinton is the worst candidate for our economy. our people, our military, and our country.
Besides, do you really want a woman to run the country when she can't even figure out her hubbby is getting some strange when it is obvious to the entire free world? She's simply a PATHETIC human being.

LOVE the "moonbeamers" terminology!

Totally off topic, I know, but that was the first I'd read that. I'll look for it elsewhere.

And to respond to even some of the inanity above, why is it HRC who's destroying the Democratic party? Seems to me Obama is in the race too. Or, is it because he is in your
view the presumptive nominee that he doesn't have to actually WIN the nomination?

Neither one has the delegates. Period. Superdelegates get to choose. It's the rules, the rules all the moonbeamers seem to think MUST be followed, but only when it benefits the saintly one.
Moonbeamers, indeed. I think they drink too much moonshine.

Boy....moonbeamers for Obama is right...people writing on these blogs are just teens, trying to be in...Hillary is the one to be President...Not Hussain Obama

For those that haven't seen the interview:
Watch the sheriff lie to Senator Clinton about the incident. Senator Clinton only repeated what she heard from a local sheriff.
Please........

The sheriff told the report to Senator Clinton. Check out his interview:
I am much more concerned about Pastor Wright as Obama's spiritual advisor than a lie by a sherrif to Senator Clinton.

What is this peace csh is talking about? Clinton sent troops into Bosnia Kosovo and Mogadishu. He also bombed Iraq many times and Shot missiles into Afghanistan in retaliation for the first attack on the world trade center. Bin Laden stated the 9/11 attacks were in retaliation for Clinton's missile attacks. He requested troops be sent in to oust Al quida and the Taliban but chickened out when the GOP compared it to "Wag the Dog". The peace in Clinton's administration was the ones he was chasing behind his wife's back. As far as the Economy he had nothing to do with that and He was the one who signed NAFTA into law. Now his wife thinks it is a bad Idea. Why? because it is costing America jobs. She claims that you have to be ready to answer the phone at 3am then say's the snipper fire lie was because she was tiered. Maybe she was sleeping when she voted for the Iraq war. As to those who say she wins the big states I find it hard to believe that California and NY would support Obama and being from Illinois I didn't realize no one lived in Chicago. As far as her perceived experience who cares. Lincoln was the least experience person ever to be elected president and Nixon was the most. Who would you rather have a brilliant orator who restored a nation or a lying crook who only avoided impeachment because he resigned and was pardoned?

"Some people have been saying these caucus states out west don't count that much. I don't know about you, but I think they're pretty important. And I'm tired of people saying that some states don't count. I think every state counts."

Sorry, to point out the obvious, but This statement has nothing to do with Montana's election. How's about you guys quit it with the condescending tone and start to practice serious journalism?
