Sen. Hillary Clinton may not be getting the hoped for impact from her latest TV ad in Pennsylvania.
Our friends at HCD Research Inc., a consumer-research company that examines advertising effectiveness, showed the ad to a group of 429 Democrats and independents.
After being shown the ad, not many people shifted their views. When asked before and after seeing the ad who they would vote for if the election were held today, Obama's support went to 44 percent to 45 percent, pre versus post. Meanwhile, Clinton's support went from 43 percent to 44 percent, pre versus post.
Polling has indicated that all the news coverage of Obama's controversial remarks and all Clinton's efforts to exploit them haven't changed the support levels for the candidates in Pennsylvania or nationally. The results of the HCD study would seem to fall in line with the other data.
HCD's MediaCurves technology, which allowed those in the focus group to use their computer mice to show their agreement or disagreement with the ad content, showed both Obama supporters and independents responding relatively badly to the ad while Clinton supporters apparently loved it.

I think it's because people are tired of hearing what politicians "think" we want to hear, and refreshing to hear the way it really is. If Americans aren't angry or "bitter" with the way our government is performing, than they must be brain dead. you have 2 candidates fluffing us up while the American people stick their heads out of the window yelling " I'm angry and I'm not going to take it anymore".

Clinton's comments reflect her own elitism - suggesting that peopler are unable to put Obama's comments in context............

We don't vote like these polls.
She'd be better off focusing on her superior platform.
Say, wouldn't that make a better news story?

No one wants to be told by elected officials why they think and behave the way they do, especially if the thoughts and behavior are perceived as something less than desirable. Even though I agree with Senator Obama's comments (which must make me an elitist, I suppose), it was reckless of him to make these comments and just underscores his inexperience in politics.

He should have stopped at "bitter" since everyone in this country should be bitter and angry at the last 8 years.

The funny thing is that Sen Obama apologized for how he clumsily made a statement where the underlying premise is TRUE but he didnt say it with the best wording and people are attempting to give him the 3rd degree.
Sen Clinton is in absolutely NO POSITION to make any attack based on misstakes with words. Especially when she got in front of 3 different crowds at 3 different times of day and "misremembered" how she was under sniper fire. That is just the tip of the iceberg with Sen Clinton she has flat out LIED MULTIPLE TIMES during this campaign, but apparently under her rules everyone should forgive her for what she said and crucify Sen Obama for what he said.
Silly season is in full force, it is good to know that the public is not falling for the divide, delay, dont resolve tactics of the past. Sen Clintons yesterday political tactics arent working at all for her in this election, it is clear that the majority of Democrats are demanding REAL CHANGE this election.
