A day after indicted Louisiana Rep. William Jefferson won a victory when the Supreme Court decided not to review a lower court decision limiting evidence seized from his House office, Jefferson's brother, Mose, was indicted for bribery.

Mose Jefferson, 65, of New Orleans, is accused of paying off an Orleans Parish school board member to support and approve educational software contracts with the district.

Here's a copy of the Mose Jefferson indictment: Download file

Mose Jefferson is William Jefferson's oldest brother and the Democratic congressman's top political advisor.

The Mose Jefferson case is not directly related to the one against William Jefferson, although the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that the congressman has secured at least one earmark for the company which produced the software and hired Mose Jefferson to get contracts for it.

Another day and the noose around "cold cash" gets a little bit tighter.

Culture of corruption. In the Democrat Congress.

Funny how those from the Left are quiet here.
