Michael Moore, the filmmaker, has taken sides again.
In a letter posted yesterday on his Web site , the documentarian called for Pennsylvania voters to support Barack Obama.
Moore - creator of such films as Sicko and Fahrenheit 9/11 - said that he couldn't voice his opinion in the ballot box during this primary season, because he lives in Michigan, so he' was appealing to Pennsylvania to speak for him.
Here's a snippet:
"... Over the past two months, the actions and words of Hillary Clinton have gone from being merely disappointing to downright disgusting. I guess the debate last week was the final straw. I've watched Senator Clinton and her husband play this game of appealing to the worst side of white people....
"But last Wednesday, when she hurled the name "Farrakhan" out of nowhere, well that's when the silly season came to an early end for me. She said the "F" word to scare white people, pure and simple. Of course, Obama has no connection to Farrakhan. But, according to Sen. Clinton, Obama's pastor does -- AND the "church bulletin" once included a Los Angeles Times op-ed from some guy with Hamas! No, not the church bulletin!
"This sleazy attempt to smear Obama was brilliantly explained the following night by Stephen Colbert,'' Moore wrote. "He pointed out that if Obama is supported by Ted Kennedy, who is Catholic, and the Catholic Church is led by a Pope who was in the Hitler Youth, that can mean only one thing: OBAMA LOVES HITLER!
"Yes, Senator Clinton, that's how you sounded. Like you were nuts. Like you were a bigot stoking the fires of stupidity. How sad that I would ever have to write those words about you. You have devoted your life to good causes and good deeds. And now to throw it all away for an office you can't win unless you smear the black man so much that the superdelegates cry "Uncle (Tom)" and give it all to you.
'He also mentions that his support goes beyond Obama the Man. It's about the idea Obama represents:
"There are those who say Obama isn't ready, or he's voted wrong on this or that. But that's looking at the trees and not the forest. What we are witnessing is not just a candidate but a profound, massive public movement for change. My endorsement is more for Obama The Movement than it is for Obama the candidate.
"That is not to take anything away from this exceptional man. But what's going on is bigger than him at this point, and that's a good thing for the country. Because, when he wins in November, that Obama Movement is going to have to stay alert and active. Corporate America is not going to give up their hold on our government just because we say so. President Obama is going to need a nation of millions to stand behind him.''

He has Jimmy Carter, and now Mikey Moore - that is the double kiss of death.
If someone knows the worst side of white people, it would be Mikey Moore.

Same mama knows best attitude about politics (Look how well that worked out for Al Gore last time he did that?)
Same arrogant notions about white women (they suck).
ONLY--Moore carries the hypocritical patina of a left-wing-nut, as opposed to a right-wing-nut.
Go edit a doc, Mike-- It's what you're GOOD at.
Only, don't forget to include the bit about Michelle's "employer' for her Daley position at U of C letting a guy DIE. (Sounds like a good thing to put into Sicko or its supplements, no?)
Fair's fair--right?

Here's the link to the Daily Mail article about that--ignore the adjectives---the facts look worth checking out.
By the NEWS MEDIA.
The same news media Obama harasses!
Note how he harassed a McClatchey reporter.
Mike Moore won't.
Because he doesn't understand day to day daily journalism. He's an extremist--an elitist. He was always too GOOD to do journalism.
Just like Oprah--couldn't just be a humble worker.
Had to be his own empire.

Sorry, Moore-haters, but Michael Moore is a true American hero. He fights for the little guy. All you guys do is call names and throw your repugnant garbage out there, merely just because that is what Hannity and Limbaugh do. You (Moore haters) obviously cannot think for yourselves.
I also don't know how Carter's endorsement is a kiss of death. Since his presidency, the man has become one of the world's true pioneers for the poor. You are just being a silly ass-hat.

Let Michael Moore go out and campaign as Sen. Clinton has done: against the odds, against the media and against a charismatic young Black man who has been "annointed" by the press. Then he can voice his own opinion, based on facts. Until then, he is just another voice of negativism.

The truth is, Michael Moore has less influence in the Democratic Party than Anne Coulter does in the Republic Party. We are entertained by his movies, besides that no one cares what he thinks.

IT'S TIME AMERICA:
It’s time for everyone to face the truth. Barack Obama has no real chance of winning the national election in November at this time. His crushing defeat in Pennsylvania makes that fact crystal clear. His best, and only real chance of winning in November is on a ticket with Hillary Clinton as her VP.
Hillary Clinton seemed almost somber at her victory speech. As if part of her was hoping Obama could have defeated her. And proved he had some chance of winning against the republican attack machine, and their unlimited money, and resources. In all honesty. I felt some of that too.
But it is absolutely essential that the democrats take back the Whitehouse in November. America, and the American people are in a very desperate condition now. And the whole World has been doing all that they can to help keep us propped up.
Hillary Clinton say’s that the heat, and decisions in the Whitehouse are much tougher than the ones on the campaign trail. But I think Mr. Obama faces a test of whether he has what it takes to be a commander and chief by facing the difficult facts, and the truth before him. And by doing what is best for the American people by dropping out of the race, and offering his whole hearted assistance to Hillary Clinton to help her take back the Whitehouse for the American people, and the World.
Mr. Obama is a great speaker. And I am confident he can explain to the American people the need, and wisdom of such a personal sacrifice for them. It should be clear to everyone by now that Hillary Clinton is fighting her heart out for the American people. She has known for a long time that Mr. Obama can not win this November. You have to remember that the Clinton’s have won the Whitehouse twice before. They know what it takes.
If Mr. Obama fails his test of commander and chief we can only hope that Hillary Clinton can continue her heroic fight for the American people. And that she prevails. She will need all the continual support and help we can give her. She may fight like a superhuman. But she is only human.
Sincerely
Jacksmith... Working Class :-)
