Hillary Clinton gets to spend the morning in the television spotlights, taking her seat on the Senate Armed Services Committee as Gen. David Petraeus delivers his report on Iraq.
Sen. Barack Obama must wait for his moment before the cameras until this afternoon, when Peatraeus appears before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
In the meantime, on a rare day in Washington, he is sitting right now in a wood-paneled room three stories above, presiding over a committee hearing on ambassadorial appointments to Europe.
First up to testify was Barrba McConnell Barrett of Phoenix, who is nominated to be U.S. ambassador to Finland.
After traveling the country virtually non-stop for more than a year as a presidential candidate, Obama welcomed Barrett with a piece of advice:
“It is colder in Finland than it is in Phoenix.''

“It is colder in Finland than it is in Phoenix.''
Once again Obama makes another epic and monumental speech that speeks to the very soul of what it is to be human.
Surly this will go down as one of the most influential weather reports of all time.
