That was not Scott McClellan, the president's former press secretary, getting a chest-thumping from the president. That was Theodore Shiveley of Plano, Texas, bumping chests with the commander in chief at the United States Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in Colorado Springs, Colo., Wednesday. I somehow can't help but believe that last picture is going to continuously come back to haunt Bush, and Republicans in general, between now and November.

#1 reason you don't elect a President you'd like to have a beer with.

This is indefensible. Soldiers are dying, WE ARE AT WAR and he thinks he should be doing endzone celebrations with the very young men and women who will soon be marching into that buzzsaw?

"I feel a burp coming on, bump me bro', ah, just hit the spot."
One six-pack too many before the event.

This man has a strange sense of humor, considering we're at war. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse!!! Scary.

Chigurh,
At least he didn't pull out a quarter and ask the guy to call heads or tails.

Well, we came up a little short in the contest competition. But the lines remain open.

Ahhh... a president who publicly shows his affections to a grad representing his own home state. Much more refreshing than a president who privately shows his affections while on the clock....

My own son was one of those graduates (not the chest bumping one) and for all you critics, get a life. These were a bunch of exuberant cadets, who were privileged to have a commander-in-chief who was willing to join in with their exuberance on a very cold wet miserable morning. He made the graduation of over one thousand brand new second lieutenants a very memorable one.
I kindly suggest to all you critics that you get a life.

As a parent of a graduating cadet I was in falcon stadium that day. President Bush did nothing wrong. And in the end all of President Bush's critics will get their comeuppence. Pres. Bush is a great president and he truly cares about the cadets. If B.O. is president their will be no chest bumping because I doubt that B.O. would even show to speak because he will destroy the military.
