Despite Obama's big loss in Pennsylvania during April, his presidential campaign turned in another strong financial performance that month, raising $31.3 million during the month and finishing with $37.3 million in cash on hand available for the primary campaign, according to the Obama campaign.
The campaign also raised $600,000 for the general election during the month and finished the month with an additional $9.2 million in cash available for the general election campaign.
The campaign continued to rely heavily on small donors, with 93 percent of contributions under $100, according to the campaign.
The Obama campaign brought in 200,000 new donors in April for 1.475 million donors by the end of the month.
Presidential candidates must file detailed disclosures on fundraising during the month of April with the Federal Election Commission by midnight tonight.
