The Swamp

Barack Obama has been called a lot of names while running for president, and now he has a new one to add to the list: Awe Kooda Bilaxpak Kuuxshish.

He picked it up on a visit in Montana yesterday for a rally at the Crow reservation, when he was adopted as a member of the Black Eagle family. Translated, the name they gave him means "One Who Helps People Throughout the Land."

Crow Vice Chairman Cedric Black Eagle tells the Associated Press that a purification ceremony was performed in which the candidate faced east -- the source of new life -- and was prayed over by his adopted father, Hartford Black Eagle.

"Few have been ignored by Washington for as long as Native Americans, the first Americans," Obama said during his visit. "That will change when I am president of the United States."

He didn't say anything about changing his bumper stickers, though.

Poisoning your own people. Shipping them out to territories "reserved" as their new home. Destroying farm land and irrigation systems. Constructing mass graves. Gee you'd think I was talking about Saddam Hussein gassing Kurds and expelling Iraqis from Southern Iraq farmland. But alas, I'm talking about good ol' US of As treatment of Native Americans. Republicans say I should be proud.

I'm proud of Obama for standing up for Native Americans. When will he protect citizens of eastern Will Co., IL from an uneeded, unwanted airport, which IL could turn into a dump for Chicago.

Remember Lake Calumet airport? IL pols preferred miles of waste instead of a Daley airport.

Why won't Will Co. farmland be next?

Since Swamp writer Frank James declares that us mere mortals can't say Obama's middle name, are we allowed to call him by this Indian name?

Purified? That's a bit of a laugh. Do they have a way to purge Rezko and all of the other Chicago political machine scum from his soul?

are we allowed to call him by this Indian name?

Oh Bruce...you can use whatever name you like. It's just when you use his middle name it shows your ignorance and childish ways...but hey..that never stopped you before.

Bruce,
you forgot to say "Indian AMERICAN name"
Native Americans are Americans as well.

God bless BARACK One Who Helps People Throughout the Land OBAMA.
and God bless you Bruce!

Here in the Cook County Tribe he is called "He of the Big Money".

MJ,
Actually he's known as "Not Guilty" in Cook County. No matter how much you try to pin Rezko or Todd Stroger to Obama, the facts say otherwise. Fitzgerald woud've found a connection by now.
