The Swamp

by John McCormick

INDIANAPOLIS - Speaking a few minutes after Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean at a fundraising dinner this evening, Sen. Barack Obama acknowledged the heartburn he and Sen. Hillary Clinton are causing.

"I know we are giving him a little bit of stress," Obama said. "But he is handling it with his usual grace, and so I'm very grateful to Gov. Dean."

Obama followed Clinton in the line up here, as several thousand Democratic Hoosiers basked in an unusual amount of attention in a state that votes red in general elections.

His speech was essentially the same as one he unveiled Saturday afternoon at a high school in this city that focuses heavily on the economy and calls for greater equity in society.

"Politics didn't lead me to working people," he said. "Working people led me to politics."

He is handling it well, because he has a great candidate in Senator Obama, showing him how it is done. With all the nonsense and cheap shots, Senator Obama has had to deal with, he has handled these unfounded attacks, magnificently. He can hold his head high, as I'm sure ex- Governor Dean is doing, watching him comporting himself so democratically!!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE. NOW.

So why isn't Hillary using Henry Cisneros to campaign for her immigration/amnesty plan in Indiana? He was televised in Raleigh on Friday.

Very well put. What a shame so many people just hate Obama. He could be a great president. But given the smear campaign mounted against him we may never know. He's got my vote. Obama 2008

I love seeing angry ol' Howard's face on TV - just a bitter ol' New York prep boy.

Funny how Obama is already cranking up on his message of greater equality in society...I find that weird considering he spent 20 years hearing Rev.Wright teaching and preaching a theology of black liberation...We have come a long way since the civil unrest in the 60's and yes we always need to improve. However we have huge problems in the US at present and we have soldiers dying every day..I do not think we as a nation are looking for a wanna be Martin Luther King.{ and the key word is wanna be}..The last thing we need now is racial unrest..He chose to adore and worship Rev.Wright for 20 years...That is his problem. Not ours...Obama needs to drop out and let HRC beat McCain so we can have a Democrat for President..Obama's legacy will always be Rev. Wright....

Barack Obama backed off of the World's Greatest Pander to create the second greatest pander in the history of politics. (In this case, "the Hoosierty" of politics.

Two nights ago in North Carolina, BO said that he would take the $10 billion the US is spending in Iraq and spend it in North Carolina, creating jobs.

Tonight, at the JJ Dinner in Indiana, he said that he would take "some" of the $10 billion per month the US is spending in Iraq and spend it in Indiana.

Folks, the Iraq War is unfunded. It is being u\put on the credit cards of our children.

To PANDER by saying that if we don't spend it there, we can spend it on the people who are voting this Tuesday is without moral conscience.

Obama accuses Clinton of giving away the gumball machine with the gas tax, while giving away the whole Department Store by promising to redierct the unfudned expenditure of the Iraq War into the local economies of those who are about to vote.

How do you spell "Cynical?"

C-H-A-N-G-E!!

This is a script of playacting.
If there is any coincidence, it is just tough luck.

Dear OBAMA,

The voters in Michigan and Florida are still silenced. There votes will not be counted until Hillary drops out.

Recently, Joe Andrew was sent to your rescue. The party has shown you the support. If you lose this primary, you only have your lofty and snobbish unapproachable manner to blame.

Good that you have taken off your jacket for the first time to mix up with blue collars. Try to be a part of them if it is not too much to ask. You have been a greate actor, whining and ducking debates. Yes you can.

I will give you the nomination anyway. Pelosi has set up some new rules for your nomination.

Good luck,
Dean.

Dean is not the smartest but he is one of the most honest democrats and is doing everything for the good of the party.

GUAM 50/50 split!
Senator Hillary Clinton ties Obama in Guam! Pundits like CNN & MSNBC got it wrong again predicting Obama would win by double digits. Each candidate got 50% of the votes! More than half the voters will not vote for obama! 56% who heard speech less likely to vote for Obama, his unfavorable rating among registered voters up 37 percent!! Clinton leads McCain 48 to 41 percent among all registered voters, while Obama and McCain are tied. National lead dropped 10pts now tied with Senator Clinton and he is now losing in IN too. Once 25 pts ahead in NC now just 5pts- They are not going to give this Presidency to Obama because hes black and if we don’t blacks will stay home, so what? American is ready to elect a black man not this black man who recently revealed a major character flaw and again calls into question his judgment and truthfulness of the candidate whose entire appeal has been based on character or his lack there of and not solutions. If Clinton is not on the ballot Working White Middle class will stay home and Obama cannot win on just black votes. David Axelrod said Obama doesn’t need white middle class voters. Axelrod said, “The white working class has gone to the Republican nominee for many elections, going back even to the Clinton years. This is not new Democratic candidates don’t need to rely solely on those votes.”
DEMOCRATS WANT OBAMA OUT NOW!

Obama's Chickens Come Home to Roost too little, too late. The Wright controversy had revealed a major character flaw and calls into question his judgment once again and truthfulness of the candidate whose entire appeal has been based on character. Wright is like an uncle you love and respect As imperfect as he may be, he has been family to me for so many years, I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community” "I can no more disown him [Jeremiah Wright] than I can disown my white grandmother." a woman who once confessed her fear of black men after a black man had tried to shake her down for money. She gave him some, but he kept demanding more. "If the bus hadn't come, I think he might have hit me over the head," Obama says she told him. Rev Wright was right! Obama speech is ONLY for political purposes after the severe drop in polls!

Obama is now declaring himself shocked and disappointed at Wright's unrepentantly racist and anti-American views? Obamas obviously support his feelings of anti-America and white hatred that the church endorses to stay for 20 years and raise young daughters in that atmosphere Obama can no longer plausibly claim innocence in this matter, because he is the one who has encouraged Wright by trying to excuse and explain his views. All of this is why it is no use for Obama to backpedal from his association with Reverend Wright, or to denounce him now, six weeks too late. It was Obama who sought to provide the Reverend Wright with immunity from criticism--and he can't complain when the reverend tries to take full advantage of that immunity. This is the final collapse of the noble promise of the Obama campaign. The man who had once put himself forward as the candidate who would transcend racial politics once and for all has ended up legitimizing a Christian equivalent of Louis Farrakhan--and injecting him into the American political debate. http://www.dontvoteobama.net

"Politics didn't lead me to working people," said one of Obama's slogan writers. "Working people led me to politics."

Where did Tony Rezko lead you, Barack?

How can Obama say Dean is handling ANYTHING well. He does realized that Dean went on Fox News Sunday this week and not only contradicted what Obama said last week (that Rev. Wright is a legitimate campaign issue) but also acted like a petulant child while doing it.

"He (Obama) can say whatever he wants. I'm going to say what I want!"

Seriously, THIS is what passes for leadership in the democratic party? Howard Dean's smarmy, angry, ultraleft tone is what turned voters off to his own candidacy four years ago. It will turn more voters off again this year. He's just a vindictive, despicable, angry little man who is convinced that he, and only he, is always right. It's arrogant attitudes like Dr. Dean's that make most people put off that annual physical.

I hate to break this to Obama, too, but it's Howard Dean's waffling that will cause him to lose the nomination. Remember, Dean was against seating Florida and Michigan before he was for it.

Dear Fellow Americans,

Our Great-grand Nation, the United States of America
is and will face very critical "Challenges" in coming,
months, years, and decades. It is very essential that
we pick out next President on following criteria.

1. A candidate with "Vision and Statesmanship".

2. A candidate with " Stable Character and Morality" .

3. A candidate with "Presidential Temperament" and
"sound Judgment".

4. A candidate with "little Washington exposure" and
"connectedness with New voters".

5. A candidate who "Inspires us up" rather than
"Tears
us down".

In my professional opinion there is only one candidate
left, who bears all the above qualities aand that is
Honorable Senator Obama.

As an independent registered voter since 1974. I voted
for Carter, voted for Reagan, voted for First Bush,
and second Bush in 2000. In the process last interest
and stopped voting.

This time we can not afford to stay on side lines and
let Washington stay the same.

We can not afford our Greatgreat Nation to become less
than what we are and can be.

We need to send clear and candid message to the world
and some 24 hour partisan hateful media. These media
outlets are trying to deprive, dupe, and derail us
from getting it right this time.

They are trying there best to deny us better rather
than bitter future. { Our Greatgrand Nations people
are
persistently and constantly subjected to Psychological
terrorism" thru these hatful partisan media outlets.

We Americans are not going to allow them
psychologically terrorized us and silence the masses.
I am sure that we will get it right this
time and elect Senator Obama our next President. let
us not get dragged down into racism and sexism.

Let us remember that our Greatgrand is constituted of
family, fellowships, friends, faith, funds, fun,
future with fairness and freedom and without fear or
favor.

We can not afford to lose any of above. Let us stand
up, be counted, save, build our Greatgrand Nation for
centuries to come.

God Bless our Great grandNation, its diverse people.

Our future needs stability, security, safety,
sustained progress and restoration of our due status
in this perilous Global World at all levels.

Obama is a class act, and so is Dean. They look like two members of the rat pack. Cool, calm and collected.

Clintons are like McCarthy and J. Edgar Hoover. Folks who want to investigate you, AND SHOULD BE THE LAST ONES TO DO THAT.
