This just in: Sen. Barack Obama's campaign plans to release a summary of their candidate's health early next week. The summary will be from his primary care physician. A campaign source said there will be no surprises in the information.
The Obama campaign plan follows on the heels of Sen. John McCain's release today of medical records for the last eight years. Four doctors at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona put together summaries of his health, and will hold a 90-minute conference call to answer questions from reporters this afternoon.

Good for Obama.....but
The self named "Straight-Talker" i.e McCain, sure has shown his true "Double-Talker" colors lately.
McCain is voluntarily actively seeking one of the most stressful jobs in the world, a job that will be physically and mentally demanding. He's been around politics longs enough to fully understand that people will want to know his health status. Yet, in 2008, McCain has delayed releasing his records several times & now is doing this limited access, Friday afternoon record dump. In contrast to his current lack of candor, in 1999, McCain "couldn't have been more forthcoming":
"...In 1999, during John McCain?s first presidential campaign, the senator, then 63, couldn?t have been any more forthcoming when it came to his medical history. Months before a single vote was cast, McCain instructed his campaign to release 1,500 pages of medical and psychiatric records. What?s more, journalists with additional questions were given direct access to McCain?s personal physician..."

The people who are considering "hiring" McCain for the powerful and demanding position of POTUS--a position from which they cannot easily "fire" him--have a right to know he is healthy and stable enough to take on the job.
And this follows on the heels of his rich wife Cindy McCain refusing to release her tax returns. The McCain's are not only the same as the Bush's, they're worse.

This is smart in one regard: By releasing it on tuesday, it'll bring the subject of McCain's records back to the forefront for a few days that don't happen to fall on Memorial Day weekend.
It'll also reinforce the 25 year age gap.

Wow John E!!.....that is a big admission for you....you now believe there is a human being in this world that is actually worse then George W. Bush?....and it's none other then the next Republican candidate for president John "the patriot" McCain. Do you see any pattern here with your uncontrollable, rabid hatred? In other words, any candidate on the Republican side you are going to hate. Perhaps you should have "your" blood pressure checked on a daily basis. Hatred is not very inspiring!!!!

There is nothing interesting in McCains report because he neglected to get tested for incipient Alzheimers nor did he get measured on his short term memory.

I believe it is important than Senator Obama release his health records as both of his parents died at a very young age.
Also he is a confirmed smoker.

I don't know how honest these four doctors will be. The longevity of your own parents is usually a good indication of your own mortality rate, both Obamas parents died before they were 50 years old. That makes Obama older than McCain. lol
