Sen. Hillary Clinton's former campaign manager could end up working for Sen. Barack Obama in a potential general election campaign.
Patti Solis Doyle, a longtime aide whose tenure with the former first lady goes back to Bill Clinton's first presidential bid in 1992, left the Clinton campaign in early February. Her departure was part of a leadership shakeup after Clinton struggled to raise money and fell short of an early goal of wrapping up the Democratic nomination on Feb. 5.
David Axelrod, Obama's top strategist, said he has talked to Solis Doyle throughout the campaign, as he has with Clinton's communications director Howard Wolfson. She is a Chicago native and sister of Ald. Danny Solis (25th).
"She's been great friend of mine for 20 years," Axelrod said. "I talked to her throughout the campaign, as I have with Howard and others. She said she would be happy to help if we are the nominee, and I said that would be great. Period. End of non-story."
A possible role for Solis Doyle was first reported this afternoon by Politico.com.

I'm visualizing a sit-down with the Clinton people before they join the Obama campaign. Detox tea, metal detectors, and copies of "Who moved my cheese?" all around...

The die is cast. The crew is jumoing off ship. Hillary put up a good fight, but I think she's pretty much done. I hope she bows out with grace. I'm ready to support Obama!!!

Obama doesn't have 2025 delegates. This story is out there just to make you think it's over, and that he's the nominee.

Will someone please tell this reporter to get their facts straight.
They mentioned that Patti left the Clinton campaign in February....that is such a LIE..LIE...LIE...LIE.
Anyone watching national television can clearly see that Ms. Doyle is still travelling with Senator Clinton during her trips around the nation. The most recent is Kentucky.
This is such a LAME attempt and Politico should at least check the facts before publishing them as actual accurate news.
SHAME on Politico.

I wish she would have joined BO at the start. She could have gotten him off on the wrong foot instead of Hillary.

Was she a mole working for Obama all along?

Just another NON-STORY. But the media and pundits made it sound like "a big news flash"! Axelrod says that IF Obama is the nominee she would work for the election of the democratic nominee. DUH!! How many other people, politicians, former candidates... EVEN HILLARY, have said the same thing?!!

Obama is fighting two huge battles at the same time, with McCain attacking him and Hillary out to knock him off. Listen to her campaign appeal AGAIN TO WOMEN, using the gendered emotional language of abuse--"a slap in the face"--to get the women out to vote against him. AND we know Obama has been a gentleman throughout!! Hillary is moving the goalposts AGAIN--raising the numbers of delegates, saying that only certain votes count. Her attacks have created a climate of misery for all Democrats. The Party needs to declare victory for Senator Obama NOW in order to win in November.

Obama- an Antichrist We Can Believe In
Consider his sexual rockstar status among young voters, his ability to continuously lie without impunity, his connections to mob members and terrorist both real and wannabes. His strong and unscrupulous desire for raw power, at any cost, regardless what it does to others, (he became senator simply by disqualifying his opponents). His empty words and changing promises, his desire to be friends with those who wish to destroy us. His wife Michele has expressed her hatred for this country and has publicly announced her husband as the messiah.
The voodoo of this all is that Teflon Obama remains unscathed by all his nefarious connections and thug like history. He is worshiped not only blindly by the mindless masses, but by the fearful media.
I am not very religious, but I think Nostradamus got it right again. What is God going to think of all the lemmings that follow a man of darkness?

I am a white Republican who is disgusted by the ignorant, foolish people of Kentucky, West Virginia and elsewhere who wont vote for a black man for president just because he is black. I guess I too am ignorant to think that we in this country had outgrown such racism. To argue that such people need time to overcome their prejudices and history and accept a black man is just pandering to their ignorance. And Hillary Clinton makes a big deal about capturing these types of voters? If she had real character and morals, she would reject the vote of these people. I am excited to see a very capable man who happens to be black get a nomination for president and may even vote for him, even though I have voted Republican my whole life. I would also be excited to see a capable woman get the nomination -- just not this one. Clinton's "do anything and say anything" to win this nomination regardless of the damage to her party, to Obama or to the truth disqualifies her for the nomination. I believe her strong negatives in national opinion polls are well deserved and have been earned over the many years she has been in politics.

It's too bad Hillary has tried to create so much division and fighting within the party. She is trying to get supporters to clash against their own party. She has now made this a gender issue as she attempts to stir up more fighting. What divisive figures she and her supporters have become!

I would say your lack of religion is obvious or you may have thought twice about posting such downright garbage and nonsense.

And what do you say to Clinton who cannot reach that number - even if we start up new states?
