Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will make a joint appearance in Washington next week before major Cllinton fundraisers to bolster support for the presumptive Democratic nominee among his former rival's backers, said a source familiar with the planning.
The two candidates also are looking at dates for a joint public appearance soon, the source said.
Some major Clinton backers have expressed frustration with the Obama campaign. Several backers of the New York senator took offense in particular at the Obama campaign's decision to name as the chief of staff to the vice presidential nominee Pattie Solis Doyle, a former Clinton campaign manager ousted in February, interpreting the move as a slap at Clinton and a signal she would not be chosen as the running mate.
Clinton finance director Jonathan Mantz sent out an e-mail message to high-level fundraisers inviting them to the meeting with Obama and Clinton.
"As we move forward, we invite you to join us for a National Finance Committee meeting with both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on Thursday, June 26th in Washington, D.C., to discuss how we can work together to support Barack Obama and the Democratic Party."
"Hillary ran for President because she wants to put this country on the right track," the invitation says. "She continues to fight and stand strong for our values and priorities and will do everything she can to unify the party and to elect Barack Obama the next President of the United States."
In his e-mail, Mantz asked Clinton supporters to "demonstrate our collective support and strength" by writing checks to the Obama campaign for the maximum legal contribution of $2,300.

Obama is finding out that a lot of Democrats don't like him. He is too liberal and too green to lead this great country. His problem is, he didn't know to drop out and let Hillary win the election. Hillary is going to see that Obama never sits in the White House. This is a trick by the Clintons who hate BO.

So he should drop when he had the delegate lead? That's a pretty hard pill to swallow there. The liberal part is pretty hard to see since he's pretty much matches Hillary eye to eye. The part about about being green is a weak talking point since he was a state rep for ten years. I like Hillary but being a senator is really her only elected gig. Unless you are including 8 years as a First lady, which I don't since that really degrade the stature of this women and what she has done in her political life.

McCain flipsssssss and flopppppppps.
Democrats for McCain....call yourself a Republican. A true Democrat would never vote for 4 more years of the same agenda.

Obama is very liked among many leading democrats, an many Americans across the country. Obama never needed to step down because as the points show, he was the better canidate. Obama can easily sit in the white house if the Democratic party could unite against the greater evil.(McCain)

The suntimes Lynn Sweet said that Solis Doyle would bring Hispanic women supporters or women in general to the Obama campaign. Not so fast.
Hispanics are different from others who voted 92 percent for Obama.
With that said, Hispanics don't care about Solis Doyle or Richardson (1/2 Hispanic) person in supporting Obama.
You'll see in November.

If Obama does not win, Hillary will be the loser. She will be blamed because she is not trustworthy.

I will never vote for Obama. Never. In protest for how Senator Clinton and her supporters were treated, in the future I will only vote for the woman candidate - regardless of party, politics or experience. I will only donate to women campaigns. I never have to "think" again. You have to get obsessed and stary obsessed. Oh yeah, I am there now!

America needs to repair the damage she has done to herself all over the world. Majority of the World is holding its breath regarding the election of the next USA president. They do so because of one man. I believe he is God sent. If you make an error due to negative emotions, America will be in serious trouble for the forseable future. 70 days and counting until the Democratic National Convention and the DNC STILL hasn't come up with the nearly $41 million to pay for it. Because of Howard Dean's inept "leadership" the DNC is still $15 million short past the deadline to pay for media walk-throughs and pre-convention parties.
Who will pay? If the local organizers could've found the money they'd've done it by now. The senate and congressional PACs need all their money for the Fall elections. The Obama campaign? He should have plenty of cash but remember he's already agreed to pay down Hillary's debt and for some reason still hasn't released his May fundraising numbers. Could it be that the Hillary fight has sucked up more campaign money than Obama has admitted?
Because of Dean's incompetence there's no way the DNC can raise enough to pay for the convention. If they could it'd already be done. Will the democrats stiff the people of Denver and Colorado with a $15 million bill? That's one way to win the west!
Some have suggested that well-heeled democrat donors step up and pay for the convention. The only one with that kind of money that's not overly invested in Obama's or Hillary's campaign is George Soros, but that old mother rat would have to sprout a new teat for the DNC with how thinly spread even his money is. Funding his many spawn such as the hate machine of moveon.org and the Obama campaign is enough to even strap the old fat rat, himself.

Last night, at Obama's rally, a Senator who had endorsed Hillary made her endorsement of Obama. She praised Clinton, and Clinton's supporters, but as soon as she mentioned Clinton's name, the audience loudly booed, and she could hardly continue.
Fools don't realize how rude, arrogant, and immature this is, and how it alienates Clinton supporters. McCain does, however. He's got a clip of the fiasco on his website.

Yes, a joint appearance in front of the "DEMOC'RAT'IC RICH ELIES" one would call it a command preformance.
Maybe they want to see them together to see if a joint ticket will work.
If the "RICH DEMOC'RAT'IC ELITES" approve I guess it is a go.

Here's an idea for all of us dems for Hillary.
VOTE FOR JOHN McCAIN!
Our control of the Congress with block McCain, and Hillary will run in 2012, and WIN!
This will show those arrogant messianic followers of Obama who should have been respected in the primary.
Obama is not experienced. Hillary and McCain are!

Can you post the web address? I didn't find it. I am finding that I consider any slap against Hillary a slap against me and I am not taking it lightly at all.

I think Barack should exercise extreme caution in any encounter with the Clintons.
Particularly of concern is their pitch to get him to pay HER campaign debt. Why would he do that? To "woo disaffected Hillary voters"????
As if their votes can be "bought"?? Besides of which, if she commands such a big bloc of supporters, why doesn't she ask THEM to pick up her tab?
He'd probably alienate his own base by paying Hillary's debts.
Bill and Hill are first, last, and always about CLINTON CLINTON CLINTON.
Doubt any women Hillary supporters will vote for a Republican who wants to take away their "right to choose".

Obama naming Hillary's fired staff as his VP's future chief of staff was juvenile and petty. Obama's supporters act like children, booing mentions HIllary. If you say the most simple thing on the web, the Obama (often-paid) bloggers will use foul language you've never read before against you. They almost never get their facts straight What is "spiritual" about this movement; I don't see it in their actions. Is this change we can believe in?

Clinton supporters were the rudest of all during the campaign between Clinton & Obama. Those woman libbers have filthy mouths! I think they are from the same mold as the woman who gave her father 40 whacks....

I think that Barack Obama has shown that his leadership qualities by the effective campaign that he ran. He showed that he has his head on straight and has unique organizational skills and diplomacy. He makes logical and strategic decisions and has proven that he has the ability to effectively work within a budget without going broke. He, unlike McCain is not experienced in the mess that Bush and the Republicans have put this country in and I think that is a real plus. He can bring new vision and hope to a country that is on its knees and has been there for the last 8 years. Let's wake up from the coma we have been in for so long and get it right this time. Obama, The Incoherent Flip Flopper
*****************************************************
Via Hotair, you have to watch this brief presser CNN had with Obama as he flip flops
enough to make John Kerry look like he was wearing tight fitting loafers. His speaking
is so stilted and broken with umms and uhhs it was hard to follow as he had to admitt
undeniable progress in Iraq thanks to the surge and Gen. Petraeus' tactics. This won't
go over well with the nutroot moonbats he courted through the primary. He also makes
the noted gaffe of calling Prime Minister Maliki the president when Jalal Talabani is
the President of Iraq, the MSM would be all over McCain if he had done that. If he is
so darn hyper-intelligent why does he have to think about what he says so carefully
and even then screw it up? He also said he is going to go to Iraq before November when
he said not long ago when McCain challenged him to that it would just be a publicity
stunt. The guy is a fish out of water without his teleprompter and adoring throng of
cultist sycophants.

I have grown very discouraged by the hatred still being spewed by the Obama supporters. If you post anything (particularly on Huff post) even moderately pro-Hillary, anti HRC'ers pounce. They are rude, they are dismissive, they say, essentially, you're stupid, you're useless, you're old, you're not needed.
The Solis Doyle appointment was a petty gesture that most of us interpret as "#$%^*&% you." And Obama people think those of us who supported HRC are going to teh Obama camp with happy faces? They're crazy. Apart from the way we're still being treated there's the insurmountable fact that for many of us, the reasons we didn't support Obama before -- inexperience chief among them -- still exist.

Got to agree with Beth. I took a little hiatus from my normal political news/blog junkie ways, but in the last couple of days I have put my toe back in the water. Unfortunately, I have found nothing but a bunch of sore winners.
I thought taking a break would let me get over the loss of my candidate, but you Obama folks are repulsive.
I haven't seen that booing clip yet at the mention of Hillary's name, but if that is really after Obama's victory. . . you folks can sit and spin on your own thumbs.
I will never vote McCain, but for the first time in my life I might sit this one out. Not because of Obama per se, but because I simply won't join the ranks of the likes of his supporters if what I have seen so far is representative of them as a whole.
