It says everything about the Swamp that they'd give space to this tripe. Bill R., I want to see a comment out of you on Obama's being bought and paid for by the corn ethanol lobby. McCain opposes the subsidies for corn ethanol. Here's the story because the swamp won't post it. They have to help Dick Turbin and Obama get big government subsidies for ADM. That's change you can believe in.

Jeff, how many times has McCain flip flopped on that issue? (I wonder if the million dollars the Saudis gave to Loeffler when he was working full time on the McCain campaign had anything to do with his opposition?) That's a perfect example of the "Myth of the Maverick". There is no core to the man's positions. He's an opportunist, not a meverick. He'll say whatever it takes to further his own career. He's a politician, out for his own advancement. He isn't the idealist demi-god that you believe him to be.

K Street (or John E) you're full of it as usual. That or you don't understand the issue. Rice and switchgrass ethanol are MUCH more efficient than the corn ethanol that makes ADM rich and Turbin and Obama support. It's what powers nearly every car in Brazil and unlike the corn ethanol boodle that Turbin and Obama secured subsidies for IT DOESN'T TAKE AT LEAST A GALLON OF GAS TO CREATE A GALLON OF THAT ETHANOL.
McCain's wants real alternative fuels and not the corruption and backscratching that Obama and Turbin give to their friends at ADM with the lie that is corn ethanol.

Jeff or McCain headquarters, whoever you are, what does that have to do with McCain's changing positions? Why does he sometimes support CORN ethanol when it is to his political advantage?
And if you want to talk about corruption and backscratching, what do you call it when a lobbyist is paid over a million dollars by a foriegn government while working full time on the campaign of a Presidential candidate? The Saudis were paying Loeffler for something, and it sure sounds like what they were paying for was influence with John McCain. I'm sure they got their monies worth.
