COLORADO: Obama 49 - McCain 44
MICHIGAN: Obama 48 - McCain 42
MINNESOTA: Obama 54 - McCain 37
WISCONSIN: Obama 52 - McCain 39

by Katie Fretland

Sen. has a big projected lead in the battleground states of Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin over Republican Sen. John McCain, according to a new poll.

The study by Quinnipiac University, Wall Street Journal and Washingtonpost.com, attributes the lead of five to 17 percentage points to Democratic women, minorities and younger voters.

"He has a lead everywhere, and if nothing changes between now and November he will make history," Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, said in a news release. However, Brown notes that his double-digit lead in some important states is not all that different than where Sen. John Kerry was positioned at this point during his campaign.

The poll also looked at the public's opinion of Sen. Hillary Clinton as Obama's running mate. Overall, it found that voters did not favor the idea and found Clinton to be a liability for the candidate.

The numbers may be comparable to when Kerry was running, but things weren't nearly as bad then!!

The numbers sound good, but keep on the right track, Senator Obama, it will take you straight on to our White House. Senator " Flip-Flopper " McCain will finally pull-off the flip-flop of the century, he'll finally admit, that his name really is, McBush !! Who would have thunk, I had no idea, they were related!!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

This explains why the uproar from Dobson, Bush, Rove, Limbaugh, McCain etc lately, they're scared to death that Rove's dream of an all Repuglican rule is passing. All the Repuglicans are sick and scared, everything Bush
is out of favor and John McSame is busy running for Bush's third term.
EVERYTHING THAT'S A SMACK IN THE FACE TO ROVE~

These QU polls have been proven to be about as reliable as John Kerry's mouth is to democrats. I don't know why the Swamp keeps running them. There's simply no way Obama's ahead in military-heavy Colorado and while his chances are better in the other states there's no way you can extrapolate anything useful from this oversampled democrats poll.

I love stories like this -- not because it in any way is an accurate prediction of who will win (the only numbers that count will be coming out the day after the election), but because all the Republicans go all hysterical. It's really fun to watch them explode.

Jeff-

Face it buddy, the country is "oversampled" with Democrats, including the military. They aren't going to vote as a block for McCain, who fought against their education benefits, cheerleads for the disaterous war that they have paid the price for, and who said that ever ending thier deployments to Iraq is "not too important". Those who serve in our military are smart enough to look beyond McCain's past service, and to see that the policies he supports do not support them.

Gee, do you think it might have something do with McBush talking about spending 100 years in Iraq and bombing Iran into oblivion?
Or how about McBush refusing to sign the GI bill that would reward our heroic troops with more money for their educations after their finished serving our country?

Yep, I think it has alot to do with that....

No Republican hysteria here, cuz' I love this country. Will just have to "hope" that the Republic continues to somehow survive. The great Obama REALLY sounded like a 3rd grader to me in trying to explain his most fuzzy position with respect to the Supreme Court DC Gun Ban Decision.

HOW THE HECK THOUGH IS WISCONSIN A BATTLEGROUND STATE??? Wisconsin, like MA, CA, and VT is a Socialist haven. No way McCain, or any Republican, is going to win in WI.

I love this country but I do need to accelerate the Spanish Immersion effort just in case.

If you really think they're going to vote for Obama, who voted to cut their medical benefits while in country, then I'd like some of what you're having.
p.s. Jim Webb's a turncoat who crafted a partisan bill to try to help Obama.

Obama within 5% of McSame in TEXAS LOL

Before I recognized the futility of tilting with socialists, I made some Swamp Land efforts in the past to dispel some of the stereotypes that people seem to have with respect to Texas. But, like teaching Math, any reason for hope would require more respirators than can be found in the Houston Medical Center.

Unfortunately there are a LOT of Socialists / Leftists here. They are not in the majority generally, but they are here. The great Obama will absolutely win Travis County (Austin, the capital) by a very large margin. Austin Tx = San Francisco Ca. The great Obama will most likely win in Houston, but not in Harris County. He will most likely win in Dallas. East Texas is infested with yellow-dog democrats. He should win there. SO, it NEVER was going to be a McCain-Tx walk-over landslide kind of thing at any time.

IF McCain does manage to not carry the Tx, in sum, then it would be impossible to imagine what state, other than AZ maybe, that he would carry. It would be finem respice at that point in the journey. That extrapolation I would agree with.

I have GOT to turn the gain up on the Spanish classes.

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock,
I'm a little McCain FlipFlop,
First I'm here, and next I'm there,
Don't be confused by my vote getting cares.

On lobby money I have taken my share,
Keating 5 was my first foray there,
Then when outted I changed my stance,
Now I stand firmly against campaign finance.

Next on votes I may stand here or there,
I have a record of voting with Democrats cares,
In fact you find that I'm quite a rouge,
You never know where I'll be when the wind blows.

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock,
I'm a little McCain FlipFlop,
First I'm here, and next I'm there,
Don't be confused by my smoke screen smears.

And should we disagree, I'll dig my feet in and put up a fuss,
I am an angry man with Machiavellian gloves,
I hit my opponents from the front, then slice them from the rear,
All the time saying, My Friend, its just politics, not to fear.

On the Bush Tax Cuts I was against them for years,
Only 2 republicans voted against them to be clear,
But now I need votes and I see the error of my ways,
I am for the Tax Cuts as long as it pays.

On immigration I stood firmly with the left,
Free pass to immigration for tax paying illegals seemed to me best,
But now that Republican votes are my aim,
I can see more clearly the politics of border control game.
It may not appear that I have changed my position to support the wall,
As long as a vote never occurs for my senate immigration proposal.

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock,
I'm a little McCain FlipFlop,
First I'm here, and next I'm there,
So don't be disappointed when you find me courting democrat cares.

Jeff's problem is that he values loyalty to the Republican party over loyalty to this nation. That's why he calls a brave patriotic public servant like Jim Webb a turncoat. Jeff could never dream of doing as much for the United States as Webb, who places the interest of the nation over petty partisanship.

Hey Texas Scotty,

Take your all hat/no cattle President back and keep your neonut warmongering butts down there in Texas with the other inbred Repuglicans.

U kind of overloaded me there with all the name calling all wrapped neatly in a singular sentence, but it's all good. President Bush will come back to Tx and will be rarely seen and almost never heard from. It is an honored ex-presidential tradition that I KNOW was followed by Hoover, Truman, Ike, LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Ronald Reagan, and GH Bush.

Not in this list would be the Ignominous Jimmy Carter who operates in a world of treachery and deceipt with his friends from the World of Terror Inc. Bill Clinton gets a pass because he is, well, Bill Clinton. No rules would ever apply there.

So, you will get your wish on that score. My wish would be for the Leftists and criminals in TX to relocate somewhere else, maybe your part of the world would be especially nice. Liberals always talk about reaching out and helping, doing this, doing that, but they themselves never do. They don't lay down so much as a damn dime.

Regards.
