"President Obama... it sounds good, right?'' said Arianna Huffington, founder of The Huffington Post, accepting the prize for best political blog this week at the annual Webby Awards, where they limit winners to five-word acceptance speeches. (So she gave six)
Does she actually go home and say, "Blogs and kisses.'' and kiss her laptop at night?
"I didn't use to, but I do now,'' she said on the carpet of the awards ceremony.
Obama's name came up at the podium reportedly.
He was "the meme of the night,'' the Wall Street Journal reported.
.
The Yes We Can video about Obama's campaign was honored. Mr. "Will i am,'' accepting the artist of the year award, said, "Now we know we can.''
FactCheck.org, accepted the prize for best politics site by saying: "No, Obama is not a Muslim." (six words)
There was no need for humility on this evening. Comedian Stephen Colbert, receiving the prize for best person and holding the trophy over his head, followed the rules to the letter in declaring simply: "Me me me me me.''

AHH the blatant bias of the Swamp. Have a story about the left wing media honoring each other, and not one single article covering McCains town hall meeting last night. I understand that it doesnt fit in the agenda of the writers here at the swamp but come on guys.

Look at the Conservative Media Bias. Reporting on an awards show rather than reporting on Malicki publically rejecting the US position on long term US troop deployments in Iraq in the security talks. Look at the conservative media conspiracy protectin their darling "Maverick" John McCain by not reporting that this rejection completely destroys his "one hundred years in Iraq" plan, in which he marches in complete lockstep with the Bush Administration.

Vinny, if you want to know what happened at the so-called town hall meeting with McCain, go to foxnews.com or simply watch Fox News today. You'll hear all the glowing reports you need to hear. I don't think the Swamp needs to start writing about "fixed news" (pun intended).
