The Republican Party is not waiting for its presidential nominating convention to promote the presumptive nominee, Sen. John McCain. The party is spending $3.4 million on television ads in four swing states blasting Democratic Sen. Barack Obama's energy policy.
The 30-second spot is part of an independent campaign on behalf of McCain, Andrew Malcolm at Top of the Ticket notes. It claims that McCain is "pushing his own party to face climate change," and contrasts the Arizona senator's energy stance with that of the senator from Illinois.
McCain supports "alternative energy, conservation, suspending the gas tax and more production here at home,'' the ad claims - an allusion to that off-shore oil drilling that McCain is promoting. Obama, the spot contends, opposes lower gasoline taxes, nuclear power and more drilling - "just the party line.''
The ad is airing in at least Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania, states that will prove critical to the outcome of the presidential election in November. Brad Todd of the firm, OnMessage Inc., created it. Energy, he suggests in a written statement "is emerging as a defining difference in the race for president." Obama spokesman Hari Sevugan counters that McCain only promises to "continue the Bush approach of trying to drill our way out of our energy crisis."

The liberal Democrates and wacky environuts have crippled this country.
The cost of electricity has put the nail in the coffin of manufacturing in this country.
While you worry about putting gas in your car the latest wave of production capabilities to produce anything including your car has grown into a tsunami.
Over the past 30-40 years the liberals have put us in an economic position that will be hard to recover from.
It was a slow creep but now it is a tsunami.
Then to top it off the bloated government employees unions have mortgaged our future-
Look what is happening in NJ. Now the most liberal state in the nation by most standards NJ is on the brink of bankruptcy and will see taxes increase astronomically over the next few years as it struggles to pay retired government employees lavish union extorted benefits.
DONT LET THE LIBERALS DO TO AMERICA WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO NEW JERSEY.
