The Mayo Clinic has given Sen. John McCain a clean bill of health tonight following the removal of a small piece of skin on his face Monday.
"Senator McCain visited the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, yesterday for a routine check of his dermatological health," said Michael Yardley, chair of public affairs at the Mayo Clinic. "The biopsy that was performed did not show any evidence of skin cancer. No further treatment is necessary."

Not only that, but McCain is Mayo free.
And contains no trans fats.

Glad this scare is over, but what does this say about McCain's overall health and potential, er, "longevity"? He would be the oldest president elected and has failed to move the dialogue about him personally beyond the "old" factor.

Actually the worry with Melanoma is not the reoccurence of new growths because you are looking at things daily and your doctor every couple of months. The danger of melanoma is the first lesion and how far did it go unnoticed and did they get it all. Keep in mind if they don't get every single microscopic cell and if it traveled to the lymph system it will grow somewhere else and guess what that will not be the skin, it will be the brain or the lungs or the liver and melanoma is very nasty and fast.

It says nothing. There was no "scare" in the first place. Just overreactions from liberals trying to make McCain look frail. The ENTIRE suspicious mole was removed. The biopsy was just a precaution. There was nothing left of it on McCain, period. And it wasn't cancerous as we know now.

I don't believe this, I think that John McCain is not all that healthy. He appears to me to not be well.

Whew, I'm sure glad posts like Pat's aren't politically motivated or anything.
