The National Transportation Safety Board said today there was no evidence of tampering in relation to a mechanical glitch earlier this week involving Sen. Barack Obama's chartered campaign aircraft.
An emergency slide located in the tail cone of the MD-81 deployed in flight, prompting the airplane's pilots to make an unscheduled landing in St. Louis. The aircraft is serving on an interim basis, as the Illinois Democrat's chartered Boeing 757 is being retrofitted for the general election campaign.
"Preliminary findings reveal that the slide was partially inflated and the inflation bottle was empty," the NTSB said. "Examination of the hardware did not reveal any evidence of missing components, nor any evidence of tampering."
The NTSB's report, including photos, is linked here.

Well that's good news...now we don't have to hear from the lefty loons on another Carl Rove plot.

A dear friend who flew with TWA and AA for years, related to me today that those emergency slides have never been known to inflate spontaneously before.
Barack, watch your back.

Please be aware that there are several southern states who not only don't know the meaning of satire but probably can't pronounce it. Yes, unfortunately I moved back to this God-forsaken state because of age and needing to be near a daughter. I had forgotten how shallow minded the majority of southerners are. Unfortunately, the cover of your magazine is going around rampanlyt by many of these yahoos as verification that Obama is a Muslim and Michelle is a militant. Go figure!
I suggest your next cover should show rednecks trying to figure out what satire means. None have purchased the magazine. They just look at covers.
