Sen. Barack Obama momentarily forgot to ask an audience of about 1,000 donors to help his partner in unity, Sen. Hillary Clinton, pay off her campaign debt.
At a fundraiser in New York last night, Obama returned to the stage after shaking hands and saying goodnight to the crowd, which included many Clinton supporters.
"This is not the speech part, but it is important," he said, retaking the stage.
"Senator Clinton still has some debt, and I could have had some debt if I hadn't won. So I know the drill," Obama said.
"It's very important to us, and obviously Senator Clinton will be grateful as well," Obama said.
Following Clinton's failed campaign for the presidency, she pledged to support Obama's bid for the White House. He in turn vowed to help with the debt she racked up during her campaign.
The pair has promoted unity, even traveling to Unity, N.H. to make that point. But they don't agree on all policies. Yesterday in Washington, they took to the Senate floor casting different votes on the Bush-backed terrorist surveillance bill (Clinton voted no, Obama voted yes.)

Another convenient ooops by Obama. To ALL Hillary supporters take note, he is doing nothing for her, don't vote for him.

I wouldn't give her a dime. She probably spent most of it criticizing him. But we've seen time and again that Obama doesn't act out of principle. He'll see what the latest poll says and act accordingly.

If this is what unity means to Senator Clinton, than it is a hollow defeat she has achieved. She is no more a Democrat than Senator Lieberman ever was. They are both opportunists supreme and they could give a rat's behind about our Party !! She can kiss anything connected to the Democratic Party, good-bye !! I used to have some admiration for her, now: Don't let that door hit you in..., Senator !!
In her stupidity, she has just allowed the Republicans the opportunity to roll-over, Roe vs Wade, She should be very proud of her accomplishment !! I hope Senator " Questionable Conduct " McCain picks her for his dog catcher, she should be able to do that work, with Bill's help, of course!!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.
