Obama or McCain better barbecue guest?

In a contest of who would be the more popular guest at a summer barbecue, Barack Obama beats John McCain by 52 percent to 45 percent, according to an Associated Press/Yahoo! News poll just released.

As the AP puts it in their report today, "People would rather barbecue burgers with Barack than munch meats with McCain."

Obama was the more popular candidate for a barbecue invitation among women, minorities and younger voters. Men were divided between the candidates. McCain was the more popular choice among white voters and older voters.

Of course, since Obama is so good at flip flopping his positions, he can flip burgers really well too.

Hey, If Cindy brings the Rx and the beer and then John Quixote drinks too much this could be fun. Maybe he will tell his wife he will "see you next Tuesday"

A cranky 72 year old with a pill popping millionair wife or the swanky Chicago rock star. Not hard to figure that one out. I never liked Arizona anyway.

Obama hands down, I hate to say it but Gee-dub-ya would be my republican guest of choice. He has run the country into the ground but he seems a fun guy.

This is what we use to decide who we want as President? Who'd we invite to a bbq? Seriously? This is journalism?

I don't want my president to be my buddy or to have a beer with him/her. I want them to be smart and competent. If I wanted a buddy as president, I'd vote for Dubya again--look what that got us.
