Judging from some of the photos coming out of Beijing, President Bush is having an excellent time palling around with the athletes and taking in various sporting events.at the last Olympic Games he will attend as the U.S. head of state, Here's a sampler.

President Bush isn't doing what you think. He's looking at the TATTOO on volleyballer Misty May Treanor's back during the team's practice session.

Frank - Now if that was a prior president, that would be definite possibility since we know he put his hands all over the chubby intern.

The Bush Haters must be going crazy Bush is having a good old time.

Can this guy be more disgusting?

This must be what he meant by "greater freedom needed in China."

The photos were fun, the suggestive comments were idiotic!

Wowie Zowie! Shades of Spuds McKenzie! Arf!

I know that if someone took a series of photos of me hamming it up with a couple of women in bikinis, I would face consequences when I got home. And if I happened to be president, the blogosphere would be the least of my worries. How about you guys?

But seriously, Golden Oldie. Lighten up a little bit. Stop trying to turn everything into a cause to hate the man. If he were to eat eggs for breakfast, you'd probably accuse him of being against chickens. Or say how disgusting it is that he would set such a bad dietary example for the American people. Or that he hates American workers in Battle Creek.

The Enquirer embarrassed you useless mopes by scooping the Edwards story, so now you're trying to out-tabloid them? Jeez!

The President is helping to lead our Olympic team to victory in China.

John McCain is fighting to lower gas prices at home.

...and Obama is on vacation in Hawaii, our 57th state.

Obviously Frank James is jealous of Bush. Course, Frank James probably would be jealous of Ruth Buzzi too. Losers are just plain jealous no matter who or what the situation.

Oh well, this diverts attention away from Stud Edwards.. which was James aim all along

Nothing surprising here; Bush doesn't work during the month of lAugust.

It is a shame our troops over in the Iraqi Oil Fields don't have a chance at such fun, even though their Commander-in-Chief gets to have so much fun !! Maybe, he was having all that fun for the troops and all those that aren't able to join him over in that great democracy, otherwise known as, China !!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

I do not believe the president belongs in Beijing. This appearance by a president at a foreign olympics has never occurred before. It shows a closeness to China that is unwarranted at this time.

China's purpose is to show that it is among the most prominent in the world. Nothing wrong with that. But Bush as a promoter, it is too soon for that. A foreign policy blunder which we will learn in the coming decade.

I'm not upset bc I loath Bush, VJ. It's just revolting that while troops are still being killed in the Bush and Cheney Big Lie, Bush continues to be an immature frat boy with no care for others. No clue. Chances are good that Cheney is losing little sleep, too.

He is having fun.Good for him.People are jealous,Let them.

How in character for Georgie Boy to play frat boy and not notice the inescapably parallel between Munich 1936 and Beijing 2008.
Hitler youth had nothing on these people.
Is America up to the challenge?
Doubt it.
Dumbo, as usual, was oblivious.

Congress took a vacation, Obama took a vacation, so what's wrong with the President being there for the people who are representing our country at the Olympics and showing some support for all their work. You know the problem with liberals, they don't know how to have a little fun. The President supports our troops and our people at the Olympics, at least he gives them credit and recognition for a job well done and feels it is important to show his support. Lighten up, it's August - Pelosi shut the lights off in D.C. so it's closed.

Sad to say, this is the only thing Bush II does well: from his days at Phillips Exerter (or was it Andover?) Academy, the frat boy cheerleader routine.
It has its place. If only he'd put the effort and hard work the swimmers have, into his presidency, maybe the US wouldn't be in the deep hole it is today.

FITZ - As far as President Bush being on vacation, if my recollection of history is correct, I believe that when FDR dies in April, 1995 (during WW2 while 100's of 1000's US troops were in battle on two fronts) he was on vacation in Georgia.

Maybe he isn't the complete idiot that I've given him credit for.

Terry,

Oh yeah, the parallels between FDR and W are strong as are the parallels between WWII and Irag. Thanks for the reminder. We keep getting them confused....

KB - the parallel I was drawing was for CPS educated FITZ who doesn't believe that a President can, should or ever has taken a vacation while the country was at war.

As far as the war on terror, it is the most justified war we have fought since WW2. Remember when President Clinton bombed Iraq for four days becasue of the WMDs. So obviously, he believed their was evidence of Iraq having WMDs. Four-and-one-half years later, what happened to those WMDs? If they still existed, then President Bush had the right to conduct the invasion. He just escalated President Clinton's earlier action to get some desired results. If something happened to those WMDs in the 4.5 years, then why weren't members of Congress on anyone else junping up and down and telling anyone?

Ferry from NC - sure beats a chubby intern?

Slight correction to my 1:36 post - FDR died in 1945. Lack of typing skills.

Yeah, and the Globe has the scoop on Laura moving out on George on account of his being back on the Jack.

if that was obama looking drunk or the so call having a great time, the racists will be saying he's the reason we have a drinking problem
