BILLINGS, Mont.--Hillary Clinton today offered congratulations to Michelle Obama on her speech to the Democratic National convention last night, according to the Obama campaign.
The former first lady and aspiring first lady had "a warm conversation" backstage in Denver today at an event sponsored by Emily's List, a feminist group that ardently supported Clinton in her primary bid and is now backing Obama, said Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki.
Obama in turn offered good luck wishes to the New York senator for her speech to the convention tonight, Psaki said.
Clinton had tried to reach Obama by telephone this morning to offer congratulations but was unable to connect because Obama was in the midst of a roundtable on economic issues, Psaki said.

I thought if Mrs. Obama said "see" one more time in her speech I would faint...Speech did not accomplish what the motive was..So they have a nice family..OK..What about what they will bring to and be like in the WH...I found it lacking at best....

Could Michelle Obama have worn a more sour expression during the speech? These two couples clearly hate each other.

Genuinely thought that Mrs. Obama gave a very good speech. There is always, though, the lingering issue of what it is that a democrat is really saying within their special provincial brand of adjective modifiers. The language sub-text within the language, as it were.
The good newz here is that the great Obama is getting in some economics review time. Always good to try to get a handle on the basic concepts of such a devilishly difficult subject as this. Could recommend Paul Samuelson - University of Chicago & Harvard school bud. Amazingly, the Macroeconomics texts all seem to convey the same information. Maybe the great Obama could down-load a little something on his blackberry, to help him remember a few basic things. Well, just a little friendly suggestion.
