Clinton concession

by Amanda Erickson

For Sen. Hillary Clinton's die hard fans, it's a very sad day.

The New York Daily News is reporting that Clinton has decided against asking for a nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Denver this August.

According to the paper, a source told reporters that Clinton won't file a formal request for the nomination, which would require her to also turn in a petition signed by 300 to 600 delegates. Many had said Clinton wanted her supporters to cast their first vote for her, even though the nomination of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) is assured.

The source also speculated that Clinton will formally release her delegates when she speaks at the convention, perhaps to avoid a situation where Obama loses a lot of votes to a candidate who has removed herself from the race.

Hillary would have won if Obama hadn't thown his race card at The Clintons-
Wonder if the Race Card will be his main tool in the White House????

I am really sorry to hear that. I have lost a little respect for her because of what she is doing. I do realize that the DNC probably would ostracize her if she didn't. I would then change to independent if I were her.

I think she should take every vote she can get...The superdelegates made a huge mistake this time!!!..When a Republican wins this election I hope they will be proud of themselves...I won't be....

Will this "sad" news now make her crazy supporters realize it's over and back Obama? Or will they personally self-destruct the party and sabotage the election?

Obama and his extreme leftist supporters sandbagged and then humiliated Hillary, especially with that contrived and forced joint appearance after he prematurely claimed victory. Polls show that 28 or more percent of women supporters of Hillary will back McCain rather than Obama in November. Considering the shabby performance by Obama in Europe and the Middle East, casting himself as some sort of Deity, that percentage has probably increased.
Time to trim the sails and get ready for Hillary in 2012.

Uh, why can't anyone say that maybe, just maybe, Hillary is trying to be a good Democrat and a good American in taking this tack? I'm a strong Obama supporter, have been since 2003, but I have to say that I admire Hillary for taking the high road. Good for her!

Wow, isn't this big of her. She won't seek the nomination.

You should read the actual post. It says she 'may' release her delegates ~ may?

Anything for some limelight, eh Hillary? Pathetic. Really.

I've been surprised that she hasn't been out where we have been able to see her, I thought she was going to be out in center pledging her support for Obama.

I'm curious if she's not doing this because her debt finally got removed?????

I just hope that the Hillary supporters that are backing McCain are enough to sink Obam. I am one of those and can't see why anyone who was for Hillary in the primaries would even think of voting for Obam after the way he humiliated her. Come ladies let your voices be heard, let your votes count, you are woman, you are strong and you can rule this world. FL remember what Obam did to you and MI in the primaries. He would have let you be disenfranchised if Hillary hadn't fought tooth and nail to get you included even though in the end you were only half included.

"What's the problem with the Clintons?"
Answer, the drama. We don't like it.

What's stopping her from releasing her delegates TODAY? Or the night of the last primary instead of doing her best Evita Peron impression. My recommendation to Barack Obama and the Democratic Party: Do not believe a word the woman says. She has run this game before in Michigan. "Oh noooo. Of COURSE the votes won't count. I just forgot to remove my name. Never mind little old me." Five months later, "Gimme my votes NOW, NOW, NOWWW!." And please do not let the surprise be to name Hillary Clinton as VP. She's already articulated her very special LBJ fantasy. You know, the bitter political rival who forced his way onto JFK's ticket as VP? Three years later JFK is dead.

This is inaccurate and will be retracted. The "insider" is wrong - her name WILL be on the ballot and be put into nomination.

ANSWER:
We will NOT be supporting Barack Obama or the DNC under any circumstances.

Us "crazy" supporters hope to personally destruct the DNC.

YES, we WILL sabotage the election. Count on it.

The word in one NY news source is she won't be signing the request to be nominated. Too bad if true. She would be the best of all America has to offer. She is the smartest and the most competent person and once again Americans can't get it right. Well, it has got to be McCain. He is moderate and could like Eisenhower be a Democrat or a Republican. His disagreeable positions are to win over his base or he doesn't get elected. His agreeable positions are better than Obama's best positions. And staying home will insure Obama a victory. I intend to vote for the veteran. I want a strong defense and hope for a compassionate economic system from a compassionate Republican
-- who knows what it means to defend America.

THE PUMAS ARE TOTALLY JUSTIFIED ...

1. Contrary to what Obamabots say ...
Obama and Hillary were in a dead heat,
when the DNC pressured Hillary into not
only conceding, but campaigning for Obama.
2. Obama is once again in a dead heat, but now
with McCain, even though Obamabots act like
Obama has already won (like they did in the
primaries against Hillary). So, this means that
half of the Democrats, and all the Republicans
(3/4 of America) dIdn't want Obama. Plus, he
didn't even win the popular vote, and refused a
revote in Michigan and Florida.
3. Obama has the thinnest resume in politics, and
he won state legislature and Senator by
disqualifications of his opponents, not by earned
experience, or votes.
4. Obama's one claim to fame is being a community
organizer, where he boasts of registering voters.
Then he took their votes away from them, by
disqualifying his opponents on technicalities, prior
to the election.
5. Obama's mentor of 20 years, was an anti-American
racist ... not to mention other unsavory associations.
6. Obama is simply buying the election, since he's
good at fund raising ... hardly a qualification to be
President of the United States.
7. The media never vetted Obama, and they are
giving him a free ride, plus more than twice the
print and air time as McCain, as they did against
Hillary.
8. 90% of blacks are voting for Obama, because he is
black, while the campaign gained ground by
accusing most opponents of racism.
9. Obamabots were, and are extremely nasty and sarcastic
towards Hillary supporters, as well as McCain supporters.
10. Pumas should be applauded for putting country before party ...
especially a party that did not represent them, and a party
which highjacked the nomination for Obama.

REPLACE OBAMA WITH HILLARY AT THE CONVENTION !!!

I'll tell you what Hill's supporters will do, and lots of them too, they will VOTE FOR MCCAIN if Hillary's not the nominee--end of story!!!

I don't think that Hillary should touch the nomination right now. Let the Dems take a thumpin' thats comming in November and maybe the party will learn a valuable lesson. Obama has flip-floped on virtually every issue since the primary. If he can change his mind why can't the Dems. I think Obama supporters are the crazy ones...so much so they aren't supporters but a mob whipped up by the msm.

We picked the wrong person! Obama should be up in the polls now against McCain but he isn't. How can this be? McCain's campaign (along with his views) has been terrible. This election would be a given if Hillary was our nominee, EVERYONE knows it! So do we just go along and hope for the impossible to happen or do we change things at the convention before it's too late? Hillary will win, Barack won't!

The OLD BOYS CLUB of the Democtatic Party shook down the banking industry and funneled the money to Barack Obama to deny the nomination to Hillary Clinton in the believe that they can control Obama. He most likely is unaware of their actions. THE OLD BOYS CLUB does not want a woman in the White House who they do not control.
