On the opening night of the Democratic National Convention in Denver, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will host a familiar guest:
The Republican candidate for president.
Sen. John McCain of Arizona will join Leno's guests, NBC says today.
Olympic medalists and legendary musicians will fill out the week -- silver-medal swimmer Dara Torres joining McCain on Monday, gold-medal gymnast Nastia Liukin on Tuesday, BB King on Tuesday and Chuck Berry on Friday.
It's a fitting forum for McCain, who informally kicked off his campaign last year with an appearance on CBS' Late Night with David letterman.

The more I see of John McCain, the more I like. He showed Saturday night how much better grasp of the issues he has, how much more articulate he is than Obama, and how much more specific he is rather than spewing the rehearsed no-answer answers that Obama does. Have to admit: I was luke-warm on McCain at first but the more I see, the more impressed I am. And as the Washington Post said today, the more people see of Obama, the less impressed they are. Maybe this long campaign is worthwhile after all.

The more I read RNC shills posting as someone else, the more I'd I'd like to see a truth in posting policy.

I love to see McCain where he's able to showcase his humor. The political Ads were a riot. I can't get enough !

And I thought the NBC was soooooooooooo biased against McCain!!!!
Does this mean that Obama will be on his show the next Monday when the GOP convention starts??
Dorian: The reason why McCain was so smooth on Saturday was that he had all the questions before he went on stage. He even said to Warren at one point that he wanted to get back to the question about the Supreme Court - which Warren had not asked about yet!!!!

To BobHusseininAtlanta: Quit crying, Obama was off the teleprompter and he just plain bombed. Get over it. Put the blame where is really lies on your candidate for not measuring up.
