Both John McCain and Barack Obama will return to Orlando next week to show some love to the nation's veterans.
Scheduling details haven't been released but the presumed presidential candidates will address the Veterans of Foreign Wars annual convention at the Orange County Convention Center.
McCain is expected to speak to the group -- numbering 10,000 or more -- on Monday, with Obama due in town the next day. A VFW official confirmed their appearances, adding that President Bush had been invited as well.
Bush, who will be on vacation in Texas, plans a day-trip to Orlando on Wednesday.
This is a return Orlando-engagement for both candidates. Early this month, both candidates traveled there to speak before the National Urban League.

Will McCain tell them all about how he could not be bothered to show up and vote on the new GI Bill??
Or explain to them why he voted AGAINST the veteran's benefits bills??
Probably not - - since he has no excuse for his sorry record on our veterans.

John McCain will show up to pander to vets, but not to actually do his job and cast votes on issues vital to vets. He has betrayed every person who attends that convention. Actions speak louder than words. McCain's actions show that Veterans issues mean absolutely nothing to him.

McPlain is behind in support from both vets and active military personel according to most recent poll. How not surprised I am..

Well, each Obamabot asks the same stupid question that when answered provides the rational behind NOT voting for legislation prepared by the far left eggheads in the Senate regarding our veterans.
Read the legislation if you feel naughty and then ask yourself one basic question? Was this really good for the veterans? Language in the legislation you ninny's scream about was so off veteran's right's and benefit's that "if yo had a brain" voting no was the best vote.
Democrat games aren't always beneficial. Tossing trash legislation out for a vote and calling it something else then blaming Republicans for voting against it is the Democrat way. These games are played to the highest extent right here in good old Illinois by the finest of phoney democrat politicians.

Why do you said McCain's....everything I have found shows that most veterens are actually leaning Obama since McCain has failed them and they know it....His last thing being against the GI Bill
Veterens have figured the ARROGANT, FAKE McCain out....they will be voting Obama in big numbers

That is 100% false and you know it. Active military and former veterans are supporting McCain over Obama by a 2-1 margin. Keep lying though I am sure there are some stupid people who would actually belive it.

HEre you go the latest on military veterans from Rasmussen poll released AUg 7.
.
"So it's no wonder that military veterans, who always have their country's security foremost in their minds, overwhelmingly support McCain over Obama.
Voters who have served in the U.S. military favor John McCain over Barack Obama by a 56% to 37% margin."
People have a right to support who they want but they dont have a right to come on these boards and post downright lies. As a former Marine I know that the vast majority of us support McCain.

Lying!! We don't need to stinkin lie !! We have the Republicans to do that. Remember, no regime change ? Remember " Mission Accomplished "?
How about this memorable one, Weapons of Mass Destruction ? How about, our economy is sound, have faith ? I can go on and on, but I think you have enough examples to know, of what I speak !!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

Sorry people...it was just on a reputable (NOT FOX) news station this morning that active combat troops are OVERWHELMINGLY supporting Obama!!!!

So, Obama gets to tell vets why he supported cutting off funding for troops. How fun!

What's new? Bush has been speaking with a backdrop of the military since he got in office. Just like Hitler did. I would like to know if the tax-payers are picking up this political stunts expenses?whiteagle38

I don't think there is a single well-written, though-out post here in favor of Obama. The ignorance you all show is embarassing, and is a pretty good explanation as to why Obama has even put up a fight in this race... Ignorance. I pray to God there aren't enough of the Lemmings in this fine country to lead us all off a cliff.
