The Center for American Progress is holding a discussion on sports doping,
U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema in Alexandria, Va. is scheduled to sentence convicted Chinese spy Tai Shen Kuo.

Not reported; Kwame Kilpatrick, the Democrat mayor of Detroit and prominent Obama backer, has been jailed on felony assault charges. Kilpatrick, the son of Democrat Cong. Carolyn Kilpatrick, is being investigated on numerous fraud charges. See the Drudge report for more.
In May 2007, Kilpatrick received a glowing endorsement from Barack Obama, who called him a "great mayor" who is doing an "outstanding job." Obama said that Kilpatrick "is going to be doing astounding things for many years to come:"

Well, "astounding" would be an interesting choice of adjectives in this instance, but you can't deny Obama was right, can you Bruce?
Incidentally, I notice no one jumped on here to defend Obama. Why would that be?
