Take it for what it's worth, but according to the traders at Intrade Sen. Barack Obama now has a better than 63 percent chance of becoming president compared with Sen. John McCain's just over 36 percent chance of winning the White House.
Obama's trading chart with Monday's close.
McCain's trading chart with Monday's close.
McCain was slightly ahead a couple of weeks ago with McCain's chances being placed at 52.5 percennt versus Obama who on Sept. 14 was at 46.8 percent. But the Illinois Democrat has opened up a significant lead among traders since then, regaining all the ground he had lost since the Republican National Convention.

It has gone even further than that. Obama is now trading at 71% with most UK betting exchanges, bookies and prediction markets. Our market is currently trading at 71%: http://www.hubdub.com/m17795/Who_will_win_the_2008_US_Presidential_Election
