Now come the pit bulls.
Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, Barack Obama's running mate, takes to the campaign trail in Michigan today with a pointed message about bad movies: "As everyone knows, the sequel is always worse than the original.''
He is talking, of course, about the possibility of a McCain-Palin administration, which the Obama-Biden campaign wants to paint as a replay of the Bush-Cheney administration.
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, McCain's running mate, is on the road as well, in Colorado. And, as she has informed her audiences, the only difference between a pit bull terrier and a hockey mom is the "lipstick''.
These are are the classic roles of the running mates, and now, with a contest tied in most national polls and growing ever closer in the electoral college battlegrounds, Biden and Palin will give voters in some of the most critical states a taste of just how much political pit bull they have in them.
Biden's prepared remarks allude to McCain as "Bush 44.''"There is simply no daylight, at least none that I can see, between John McCain and George Bush,'' Biden plans to say. "On every major challenge we face, from the economy to health care to education to Iraq, you can barely tell them apart."
Biden also takes the McCain campaign to task for its campaign tactics, which Biden likes to those of Karl Rove (who has suggested that both campaigns may be playing over the top) "Those tactics may be good at squeaking by in an election,'' Biden says, "but they are bad if you want to lead one nation, indivisible.''
We haven't seen any prepared remarks from Palin, though we suspect we already have heard a lot of them over the course of the last two weeks. Watch for some new words, though, the campaign advises today.

You know, honor is talked about a lot in this campaign. Honor comes with honesty. And you've got to be honest about the facts.

You missed Biden's latest. He talked about the "niceties" of "sleep-overs." And where? In North Carolina, home of John Edwards who got into deep trouble over his sleep-overs. Biden is the gift that keeps on giving.

Republicans like to lie. And their supporters still support them. Even though they know they are being lied to. Amazing.

Nothing funnier than a pitbull who doesn't know who she is barking at or for.

Oh so now they are going to let Palin add a few more lines to her practiced tiring rhetoric. Wow...Hard to believe anyone could get excited over a bunch of hair and lipstick that has to have show and tell to attempt to be VP. SAD!!!

Is Edwards running for something Gary? McCain did the same thing, so watch yourself.

Biden probably feels emboldened and relieved after seeing Palin's disastrous ABC inter view. No more confidence from the McCain camp about the debate or her solo trail appearances. She is truly a lightweight...

Have you seen the videos of the two appearances? Biden small crowds and slow and dull. Palin in Golden, Colorado Springs and Steamboat Springs, turnaway crowds of thousands and tremendous enthusiasm. She's super articulate and addressing all the issues, including the Democrats mismanagement of the financial problem in Washington. One debate between Biden and Palin will not be enough. Let's do it in a stadium, let each side invite people, and see how many show up to hear Biden.

Biden cannot come up with an original thought, as evidenced in his failed presidential campaign of years ago. Good old Plagerist Biden is just red meat in this case and the debate between Sen. Biden and Gov. Palin will show Gov. Palin chowing down.
People are laughing at a VP candidate who has nothing other than MCSame or Bush, Bush, Bush when Bush is not running. This tells a great story about the shallow and emptyness of the Obama campaign and the Obama VP pick as an even emptier suit that the presidential candidate.
Uh, McCain equals uh Bush, uh and four more years of Bush uh is like McCain uh and uh those guys are like uh the McSame uh. A tape recorder in front of a picture of a Donkey could draw more crowds than Biden.
The Kettle (Soros and Moveon.org) is calling the pot Black? They better get their eyes checked and pick up the clue phone on the stink factor around the Obama campaign.
Any legitimate reporter would at least give the numbers on crowd sizes but not "in the Obamabag Silva".

Springfield, are you seriously suggesting even you could happily live through four more years of Bush's failed policies? Go ahead and vote for "McSame", but for your own sake, pray Obama wins.

Remember when Republicans downplayed and ridiculed talking about how many people showed up at campaign events?
