Lorne Michaels, Saturday Night Live's impressario, evidently wants the very funny actress and writer Tina Fey to play Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in skits this season.
Who doesn't? Talk about your no-brainers.
The two women only look like they were separated at birth. And Fey is talented enough to capture that straight-out-of-the-movie-"Fargo" essence, that Palin exudes.
According to Broadcasting & Cable mag:
Saturday Night Live creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels said the show is talking with Tina Fey about playing Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin at some point this season, possibly as soon as this Saturday's season premiere.
"There are discussions [with Tina]," Michaels said during a conference call with reporters. "They are ongoing."
Rumors have been swirling that Fey will portray Palin, at least for the season premiere, following an interview with 24-year-old SNL scribe Simon Rich in New York magazine. Fans online have posted pictures of Fey next to Palin, pointing out similarities.
Michaels, pay Fey what she wants. The ratings will be worth it.

Don't insult Tina Fey.
The more we see of Gov. Palin the more she seems like George W. Bush in a skirt (an empty skirt at that) ....even mispronounces nuclear.
SNL can use GWB in a skirt... he'll need the work soon anyway.

Who's going to play Hairplug Biden? By the way - - - where is he? Still on the train somewhere? He's probably home studying to make sure he knows how to say Nuclear. he didn't know how important it was to pronounce it like the media.
