ST. PAUL, Minn. - Mom shot Bambi.
That family photo of Sarah Palin back at college wearing the T-shirt - "I may be broke, but I'm not flat busted" - is only one of many that have emerged since the governor of Alaska was tapped as John McCain's running mate.
Kaylene Johnson's Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska's Political Establishment on Its Ear turns out to be a treasure trove of images.
Here's one of the young captain of the Wasilla Warriors basketball team, on the right, with her brother Chuck Heath and sister Heather Heath.
Here's one of the governor-mate with her husband, Todd Palin, who met as high schoolers. They attended their senior prom in 1982.
Now, the CNN Opinion Research poll found that only 52 percent of the voters surveyed over the weekend have a favorable opinion of McCain's choice in running mates.
Perhaps if people had seen the shot from the caribou hunt above, they'd think twice. Makes us wonder how the Gallup Daily Track is at tracking caribou.
Off with the all-terrain:
